It has no culture wars to fight, or want to fight, This kind of incentive has that starting advantage where disinformation & post truth are concerned. Populism loses.

Meanwhile, in the U.S., we let billionaires weaponize algorithms and call it free speech—while gutting library budgets and banning books.
We could do better. We just need the will.
If a policy like this could have avoided Brexit, it would be worth 10x the cost.
