Tiny Dancer, Levon, Roy Rogers, Burn the Mission, Grey Seal, Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding, The Ballad of Danny Bailey (1909–34), Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)
Tiny Dancer for sentimental reasons but if I'm alone in my car pretending I can sing at the top of my lungs then there's nothing better than This Train Don't Stop There Anymore
The lyrics in "Take me to the Pilot" may be incomprehensible, but I really enjoy the instruments in that song.
I found that the songs I really love have energy, but also a lot of musical layers happening all at once. "I Wish" by Stevie Wonder is another example.
It’s close, because I love Goodbye Yellow Brick Road so much, but it’s got to be Rocket Man. There’s something about the ennui in his voice that’s particularly affecting.
"Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding", "Levon", "I'm Still Standing", "Circle of Life", "Candle In The Wind (live in Australia)", "Don't Let The Sun...(Live feat. George Michael, 1991)", "Saturday Night's All Right..." or "Skyline Pigeon (Piano Version).
I Want Love is such a good coming-out song that I had on a loop while processing what led to me coming out publicly. Also the music video is one continuous take and is Elton giving a lift to RDJ fresh out of rehab and trying to rebuild his career.

And you want to cringe there is that duet he did with
George Michael "Wrap Her Up"
For the song itself “Your Song”

Probably a three way tie for Rocket Man, Daniel, and Someone Saved My Life Tonight.

But after that it's Rocket Man
or
Can You Feel the Love Tonight (mostly for nostalgia's sake)
