What’s everyone having for dinner? I’m cooking mixed beans in tomato sauce, heavy on the marjoram, chilli and garlic with a side of roasties and a wedge of cabbage. Feta crumbled over. No booze. Wah.

Had grand plans for some prawns, but CBA, so a flat egg [The Lodger’s term for a switched-up egg fried flat + a little longer than an omelette], some yellow-stickered button sprouts, + a glass of the opened Pig Grig that also made the Length of England Journey yesterday
It’s a leftovers kinda night for us. It’s a hodgepodge of chicken thighs, mashed potatoes orzo with green peas, also some ground beef patties with noodles and gravy. Fix your own plate, that’s all.
I made a virtue heavy salad with red cabbage, carrot, cucumber, celery, coriander, sugar drop tomatoes, peas shoots, dressed with fig vinegar, and lime juice. Balanced it with a half baguette with lashings of butter.
I bought a thing called "chicken cushions" from Shellseekers butcher counter in @boroughmarket.bsky.social - wild boar mince wrapped in chicken then wrapped in bacon, tied up with string. Ate with organic veg from the 13 Acre Orchard stall. Didn't take a pic, damn!
I have just polished a huge bowlful of keema mattar (made with soya mince - never used it before!), with brown basmati, raita and cavolo nero for health. No pud. No boozes.
