post something about potholes you leech
You are supposed to serve the people, not your leaders. It's a democracy.
Any conditions on a US trade that lower our social, environmental or quality standards are not acceptable.
Joining the European Customs Union (and Single Market) would put the UK in a stronger negotiating position so do that first.

The market we were key members of, only to be destroyed by the Tories.
You can’t trust the US under Trump. Canada has free trade deals but he still imposed tariffs.
The Slovakian Land Rovers are moot, of course.
Trade deals only work where all parties are stable and act rationally.
Until the adminstration changes, all we generate is false hope.
There is much better deal to be made much closer to us.
No more votes from me.
Should we throw away protections for minorities to "get the job done"?
Why are we trying to make a deal with these fascist crybabies instead of our neighbours or, idk, the rest of the world instead?

Have you literally forgotten everything he's ever done in his entire life🤦
You are going to be crying when the leopard comes looking for your face
Do your job & get us back in the EU.
Trump and the US don't care about little old England. The EU do

We didn't elect you to do austerity 2.0, euthanise the disabled, force 400,000 into poverty & worship the rich, we elected you to reduce the wealth gap,... /1
Instead you've abandoned your morals & core supporters.
NOT my Labour.
2. How many times have we been here before & ... nothing.
3. We don't want their beef or chicken.
4. EU is bigger & closer.
5. Why would you sign a deal with a guy who has consistently shown he doesn't respect agreements; even the ones he signed.
You CANNOT make deals with those people!
When you sit at the table with Nazis, you are a Nazi.
b) The majority of the British population do not want a trade deal with the USA.
c) There is little chance a trade deal with the USA would actually benefit the UK.
Voters need to learn that true, progressive socialism and green values aren't something to be scared of.
I am finding satire and reality hard to tell apart these days.
Fortunately, you're *absolutely* going to lose your seat in 2029.
Rejoin the EU. That needs doing, but you clowns have ruled it out.
Stop pretending people voted Labour hoping to get a Temu copy of Reform.
Have you seen the ‘deal’ they did with Columbia University?
Starmer *will* be proud of you.
a) a bonus
b) mildly regrettable
c) it makes me rigid
d) I'm actually a human being who has empathy, so I will devote my life to burning Starmer's abortion of a party to the ground and pissing on the ashes
...but we know it's (c).
It's not as if any deal with the US is worth the paper its written on anyway. Do you read the news these days?
It's the research commissioned by @bestforbritain.bsky.social which shows - counting, not opinion - that alignment on goods *will* lead to growth, within the arbitrary red lines of HMG.
ATTEND THE DEBATE ON 24/04/2025. That's how you protect livelihoods. Do it.

Stop trying to out-Reform Reform and be a proper Labour government. That 20% will never vote for you and at this rate nor will most of the remaining 80%.
Have you seen how well Meloni’s meeting with Trump went?
Screw us. Go after China. Rejoin the eu. There is the entire rest of the world.
Tell Trump to shove it up his arse.

Lifetime Labour voter here and you’re losing me.
What's the point of doing a deal with him? Trump isn't doing deals any more, just hostile takeovers. We should have nothing to do with Trump.
The world has changed. Many of us have degrees or PhD's or other expertise and we listen to others of equal ability outside of the political-media-thinktank gatekeeping bubble.
You're not up to the job, sunshine.
The rolling back of trans rights, destruction of state welfare systems, and pursuing an economically bonkers US appeasement policy, how is this protecting livelihoods exactly?
I'm very curious.
I'd like you to apologize for that.
I am poor and disabled with disabled children. There are better things you could be doing for me and for others, both at home and abroad.
I'm 52, suddenly single, disabled.
I won't have a livelihood for you to care about.
Best wishes. x
Seeing as the pay gap is already around 40%, so with discrimination being encouraged as of Wednesday, that's at least .6% of the population's jobs and livelihoods at risk.
2.) Why are the energy companies supermarkets et al allowed to make billions in profits while still raising prices because their "costs" have increased?
3.) TAX THE RICH
4.) Every year companies are allowed to raise their prices by CPI + %, how often do wages get that increase?
Why you'd prioritise a deal with a petulant man child who may very well change his mind the following week is absolutely beyond me, and I imagine most sensible people.
Actions > Words
Rich get richer, poor get poorer
You fools just aren't reading the room.
Amazing how a party can discombobulate itself in a year.
Cos that’s what you’re doing.
The only job you’re looking out for with this attitude is your own.
Get some balls Andrew and tell it like it is: “Yes, we know a US deal isn’t good for the UK but we’re scared of Nigel.”
And does your aim to ‘protect jobs and livelihoods’ extend to maintaining food standards?
If you lie, and chlorinated chicken and hormone injected beef does come in, you can kiss goodbye to holding your seat.
Get a grip.
you are traitors to this country.
People in the UK *will* practice US product and service avoidance if you go through with it.
And that won't benefit the UK you claim to try to help.
I have lists of products, apps and services that are American and will be posting them publicly.
If you don't listen, we won't.
Labour are completely omitting the EU.
And Japan has stated the US is extorting countries.
How dense do you have to be if you can't see this and your current and ex voter base can FFS.
A good day's work in service of the worst of humanity is a contradiction in terms.
Giving in to bullies isn’t going to protect jobs and livelihoods in the longterm is it?
but you should be ashamed of yourself. you are collaborating with a fascist regime abroad whilst pushing right-wing policies at home. you may not like it, but you are accountable for your actions, and the public will hold you to account.
You'll need to apologise when it finally dawns on you that you can't.
The US is proving to be an unreliable ally and besides if the UK couldn’t get a trade agreement with Biden, how does it expect to get a deal with a wild card like Trump?
Also, why are so many Labour MPs convinced that telling their own voters “fuck off” is an amazing electoral strategy?
You know we can all just vote Lib Dem, right?
Well, for some...
This will lead to job losses sure enough, for you and your colleagues at the next election when you hand power to Reform.
The Labour Party has become an embarrassment.
Did you not learn about appeasement at school?
Nazi salutes, imprisoning innocents, ignoring Supreme Court orders, threatening Canada/Greenland/Panama etc. not ringing alarm bells....
How about joining EU single market and customs union to protect jobs and livelihoods? No, you'd rather do deals with Nazis.
Listen to yourself..
But an entire trading bloc a few miles off our coast that we were meant to be in charge of is so much less handy than a country thousands of miles away that has expressed disdain for us and wants us to sacrifice human rights and billions in taxes.
We don't want a race to the bottom, we want to rise up not be beaten down!!!
23 miles away or Trump? Easy pick #StrongerTogether
This is the level of forethought of those meant to be in charge? Just get a job as a CEO somewhere, that's the environment short term thinking thrives in
Have you seen how they are abandoning the rule of law in their own country? They can't be trusted anymore.
Appeasing bullies has never worked, and never will
He will destroy your jobs and laugh at you for being stupid enough to let him.
There’s no spoon long enough to make supping with them safe.
You really happy with those ideas, Mr Pakes?
And do you really think the UK electorate would not punish Labour for that?
… is something which (acc to the polls) would meet with general support.
(You'd have to spike Menace McSweeney's guns first, of course! 😀)
In any even, an urgent and important step for Labour must be to minimise the effect of 'Blue Labour' and 'Well 'Ard Labour' on it and on its voting base, and to remove the pernicious effects of Maurice Glasman's Bannonising attempts. If that means ousting MMcS, all the better.
This episode of the OGWN podcast puts 'Hard Labour' very much in its place, and speaks convincingly about the (imo tiresome) machismo involved in it, as well as about its incomprehensibility as a term.
This is currently happening and will likely increase. 👇🏻
She's leading the UK down the path of being extorted.
This isn't what the public want.
Labour liars as always.
Start actually doing YOUR JOB and LISTEN to the public who put you where you are.
Less of the Tory grandstanding bollocks.
