My workmates tried to get me into Twilight. They read all of them. I could hardly finish one. She threw herself off a cliff to hallucinate about a dude who dumped her? It took everything I had not the throw it in a shredder.

Second book in a trilogy and it’s supposed to be spicy, but damn in 1/5 way through and I’m yelling “get a room and don’t bring me along!” I get it, super passion, I need you like air etc. it’s exhausting and eventually boring to read!

I rarely, rarely don’t finish a book. That’s why I can actually remember not finishing this book even after several decades.
But really liked Elinor Oliphant is doing Fine(?). Seemed genuinely to know her kind of character.
