Periodic reminder that over 90% of cats are not a "breed". The vast majority of longhaired tabbies are not Maine Coons. Most grey cats are not Russian Blues. Most black cats are not Bombays. They're just lovely, perfect mixed breed cats that come in all colors and coat lengths!

The other is a sweet gray tabby.
Breeds are sweet!!
(The skulls of “pure” Maine Coons, Siamese, Persian, etc.. are outrageously deformed).
But that said, even though the fake pedigree annoys me, charging keeps the nutters away.
Breed: Goddess
Perfect, fluffy, soothing lap panthers whose purrs are the soft singing of angels.
But also a-holes.
isn't that all tabbies? the wavy m line?
creamsicle tabbies, mango tabbies...
(Seriously, be thankful, the “pure” MC have deformed faces. Humans have cursed those cats with unnatural standards).
(I have papers for my Ragdolls and Maine Coon from good catteries, but have fostered/owned regular domestic short/longhaired cats in the past.)
- Void
- Orange
Perhaps we should be more like cats.
Skills: is 16 year old baby
Most red tabbies are male.
Most calico cats are female.
Ps: If there is a distintive "M" on the forehead of a (usually) very large cat and has tufts coming out of their ears, they probably are Maine Coons, or at least a mix.
tabby Maine Coon
Cause..ultimately the important thing is
It is a cat
So basically a HUGE, FLUFFY, Black one with ear tufts
Our next one will be any black kitten that was saved
Cuz gotta give love to the black kitties :)
but i love him
I love all kitties but the Persian & other flat face breeders are irresponsible i think. same as for dogs. breathing issues. I don’t happen to like the look either but not the point.
I found her in a box. She’s nothing fancy 😅
I had to explain to a vet that a moggie is a mixed breed cat ahaha
😭
I found most of mine on my porch.
Answered a Craigslist ad, showed up to a house that had 15 kittens in a U-Haul box in the middle of the living room floor and yellow cigarette smoke slime on the wall. Stuffed her in my pocket and left 😌
Together they have a full moustache
Anyway, here's mine
"Orange."
"But what breed?"
"Fluffy."
Pretty sure it even says that on her vet papers.
She raised Cornish Rexes and showed them. They were decently prestigious in that community - even did some international shows.
I got to play with some of the kittens once. They were adorable!
Like, that's just a plain ol' cat, my friend.
But mostly greater.
a no kill shelter. They had been declawed then offloaded when the originals moved and were in bad shape. Gone now and delicate through their lives but deeply cared for and loved by friend.
(Wouldn't give him up for anything tho)

Anyway she's ours now because he was neglecting her in other ways and we disapproved. We don't care what breed she is, she's just our baby.
This wasn't a kindergartner surprising their teacher with a gift.)
And as far as black cats: if you pay attention and have the light juuuuust right, a lot of the time, you can see that they're black-on-black tabby!
Thanks, Siri, for this groundbreaking info 😹
