2) ... But let's all still rubber-stamp 99% of his proposals so Congress no longer has any authority and the executive branch with the President calling all the shots dictates all government policy.
βIt all makes it abundantly clear how untouched by humanity they are. So possessed by their own hubris, they donβt know it, they canβt see it, & it never occurs to them when they are showing us their ass.β
Speaking truth to tyranny!! Impeach Trump, fire Musk, impeach the idiot national security appointees, shut down the bigoted firing of military men and women, take back control of the purse!
I feel like Iβm in a time slip or on the margins of an alternate universe where some things are the same while others are shockingly different. Rand Paul making sense for one. This must be the universe where his neighbor didnβt try to kill him.
Yeah as a Republican and Trump supporter Rand Paul and his ilk are wholly responsible for this disaster which is NOT A BIPARTISAN PROBLEM. Republicans kept this fascist fuck from being impeached. Republicans voted him in. Republicans could stop Trump at any time. Ask Rand Paul why they donβt.
Trade wars are not modern GOP orthodoxy.
But he is doing one openly and aggressively.
No more lectures about markets being free.
This tariff shit show belongs to the GOP.
Rand Paul is just as extremist and stupid in his own special way. In the immortal words of Richard Harris as English Bob: "He can go stuff himself as well then, can't he?"
Goddamnit, you know things have gone absolutely sideways when Rand Paul become the rational voice of the Republican Party like what in the absolute f$ck ?!!
Heβs been reported saying that Republicans lost both the Senate & House for 50 years after the last set of tariffs were implementedβ¦ so heβs fighting against them nowβ¦
Yeah - if he fucks up their majority in the senate and slows them down I am ok with it lol. I am at the point where anything that derails their bullshit agenda works for me. Grind this shit to a halt until the midterms and hopefully the balance of power shifts.
Yeah, I'll put my squabbles aside for the resistance coalition, but when we win, I'm not going to forget that "small government" people like Rand helped reign in this monster.
He may not be complicit, but he's certainly an enabler to this point, which no sane person was after J6
Whether you like Rand Paul or not, we need to see these cracks in the republican party. If Paul can sway some of the other republicans to finally see this administration for what it is, perhaps they can help turn the ship around. Some folks just need to get slapped in the 401k to wake up I guess.
Of course he cares NOW. Kentucky is already being pummeled by the retaliatory tariffs against their locally produced spirits. Stupid asshole. He probably thought it would never affect his constituents. π€‘π
It's pretty clear that the Trump tide has vanished and is now headed for deep water. The Republicans are waking up to the fact that Trump has sunk his own boat with the tariffs. The pain for most Americans not in the market hasn't even begun to be felt.
When you start by saying βI am a supporter of Donald Trump, butβ¦β that sentence structure has been used historically to justify a great many wrongs. It is a form of self absolution. Listen to this man when he says: βI am not a supporter of Donald Trump, andβ¦β

Weβve known this for YEARS!
But this was fun. He got Tβs dick out of his mouth for a brief second there.

Never thought I would agree with anything Rand Paul said.
I can't possibly hate this historical timeline any more.
And, agreeing with one thing he says is no counterbalance for all the other horse shit he's spouted.
Rand Paul? Calling for checks and balances??
Did he hit his head, or is this his other personality?

@wyden.senate.gov voted against it because he understands the Internet better than anyone else in Congress.

He says that he's a supporter of Trump and also couched his criticism by unnecessarily bringing up Democrats.
