This is all by design. The goal is to use non-government platforms to circumvent record-keeping laws. Don’t be fooled by the keystone cops appearance, folks.
Whether signal is encrypted or not, there's NO WAY to verify the person on the other end is who they claim to be. For all you know it's some foreign adversary. I wonder if anything has been intercepted at this point. 🤔
When the folks at Project 2025 came up with the idea to hide their horrible efforts from all of us, they stupidly didn’t realize that maybe they would be caught.
The intel community no longer laughs at us…
They are fucking slamming the door shut, turning off the spigot to the intel pipeline and moving forward without us.
They even made it available to read, FFS. How is ANY of this a surprise??
I’m furious that no one in leadership bothered to come up with a plan to counter their BS should the need arise. 😡
Firing him would be great, but it won’t stop this. We have to remove the Project 25 people, who told them to use the app, and the people who are refusing to stop them.
If Russia can hack it, so can others, we need some patriotic individuals to share the chats for the world to see.
NEWS FLASH…they also use Google Chat. Are you kidding me…Google Chat is so vulnerable to hackers it’s not funny. Anyone can easily jump into a Google Chat…especially the Administrator. Anyone hear of Julian Assange?? What total TOOLS…do any of them have a clue or BRAIN CELL left??
Remember when the GOP prided itself on taking national security seriously? But they don't have to, if their voters don't demand accountability. Instead, MAGA hands MAGA blank checks: according to MAGA, no MAGA can do wrong. Pissing off liberals is considered proof of concept.
No no no. There’s been a horrible misunderstanding.
We used Signal to order Chinese and Ukrainian food! Gaza is the name of my tax accountant! He’s really good! George Gaza down in Florida; I’ll give you his number. He has a lovely wife named Hamas. Nothing to do with the Middle East!
Another example of "Rule of Law" for thee, but not for me. Policies and procedures are in place for a reason, and to not follow them, especially in this environment is absolutely careless and shows how comfortable with their belligerence.
The SIGNALGATE Investigation must go forward in the Senate. Our classified information is in the hands of incompetent individuals; the Cabinet. 20 SIGNAL Chats on Mike Waltz's phone?
Pentagon warned there’s vulnerabilities,
But team Trump continues the activities.
Signal chats are apparently everywhere.
Our enemies cheer since they’re aware.
This is so surprising. I would never expect this sort of behavior from him, because I think they all want accountability right? And they all follow the law, right?! 🙄
So how much does it take for someone from the Democrat camp to finally grow a pair and loudly, and vehemently, and relentlessly demand charges against each and everyone of those participating in these chats!?
Do a reverse "Hillary's emails" already, for fuck's sake!
We are so fortunate The Atlantic was added to the chat! Otherwise our enemies would have kept all that access quiet to our detriment. Are they off Signal now? Or selling us out to our enemies?
One would think that after the 911 attacks the security of and any military actions are of the utmost protected, secured and concealed. This administration is so casual.
What’s worse than what they did is knowing it and NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT so when something really bad happens, the harm, the outrage will be 1000 times worse.
Avoiding records laws while potentially putting our national security at risk from foreign adversaries. If Congress wasn't controlled by Trump sycophants, there would be no shortage of Congressional investigations.
Using Signal is not about the encryption. It is not even about convenience. It is about being unaccountable to the people by destroying records of the meetings. It is about breaking laws.
I disagree. Given the ages of the people involved, I think they consciously chose to reject proper channels because they were too lazy to learn the new system when in their minds, Signal worked perfectly fine.
Oh and to circumvent FOIA. But mostly I think it was laziness. Eliminating records is just a happy accident. Keep in mind these people put on public display for us are not very smart. Really makes me wonder exactly who is pulling the strings.
20 Signal groups? Man, that’s not a crisis response plan—that’s what your ex got when she trackin' her situationships. Are y’all settin' up NATO or a group dinner?
AI: The article lacks key context on Signal's encryption and federal records rules affecting government compliance. Our summary highlights how encrypted messaging impacts transparency and records retention under the Presidential Records Act.
And the pity of it is it's that SNL never put his character into their chat skit. He could have lived in infamy, like Sean Spicer and gone onto Dancing With Stars.
Waltz’s team set up at least 20 Signal group chats to manage crises around the globe. That’s not just operational—it’s strategic. It’s a digital smokescreen for Project 2025’s real goal: dismantle transparency & gut the federal records laws meant to hold them accountable.
This isn’t about rapid response. It’s about evading oversight.
Let’s stop pretending this is some innocent modernization. They chose Signal—an encrypted, disappearing-message app—because they knew what they were doing wasn’t just reckless. It was potentially illegal.
What decisions are being made? We’re not allowed to find out.
And that’s the point.
This is what you get when you combine authoritarian ambition, tech-bro paranoia, and zero accountability. It’s not governance—it’s governance cosplay with burner phones and Gmail logins.
Dem Actions: 1) Submit bill with Trump's forgotten popular tax cuts. 2) Fund infrastructure, education, science, environment 3) Tax all income with FICA regardless of source or amount 4) tax wealth over $100M at 1%, over $1B at 2%, $10B at 3%, $100B at 4%, $1T at 5%...

And they're not any good at it either.
We don't need no stinkin FOIA!

This idiot is National “Security Advisor”
Waltz is a danger to American society and must go now. Right now!
Yes I am.
That’s my butcher.
They are fucking slamming the door shut, turning off the spigot to the intel pipeline and moving forward without us.
It will take decades to rebuild the trust.
Hacking Signal has to be a top priority for EVERYONE.
MIND YOU, you would have to listen to a lot of pathetic drivel to get any decent information. Intelligence might be thin on the ground.
I’m furious that no one in leadership bothered to come up with a plan to counter their BS should the need arise. 😡
Am I doing it right????
If Russia can hack it, so can others, we need some patriotic individuals to share the chats for the world to see.

And, I'm a guy who, back in the day, was against the death sentence. The MAGAts changed my mind about that.
We used Signal to order Chinese and Ukrainian food! Gaza is the name of my tax accountant! He’s really good! George Gaza down in Florida; I’ll give you his number. He has a lovely wife named Hamas. Nothing to do with the Middle East!

Signal chats are apparently everywhere.
Our enemies cheer since they’re aware.
Just the first they were caught. No records of all of these chats now exist
We the people do; it’s our lives you are playing with.
Do a reverse "Hillary's emails" already, for fuck's sake!
the fact these texts were going to personal devices or that they were likely set to disappear.
Personal devices are the security risk.

They've broken a law with up to 10 yrs in prison for each count.
Let's have a mock-trial reporting narrative published. A 'what if this administration respected the law' series of articles.

Who’s in those chats?
What decisions are being made? We’re not allowed to find out.
And that’s the point.
This is what you get when you combine authoritarian ambition, tech-bro paranoia, and zero accountability. It’s not governance—it’s governance cosplay with burner phones and Gmail logins.
They’re not avoiding transparency—they’re afraid of it.
Because what they’re doing can’t survive sunlight.
This isn’t leadership. It’s a shadow government
If it’s all above board… why hide it?
Why encrypt it?
Why train staff to erase it?
Putin doesn’t need to hack us—Governor Trump’s team is handing him the keys in Signal chats and secret threads.
Not with a coup—
But with disappearing messages, erased records, and zero accountability.
