Depends on what you think god is. For some of these folks, they envision a rather petty, insecure, selfish, lazy, and vindictive god (they don't use those words but the way they describe him pretty much fits those words).

If it makes you feel any better, the "antichrist" isn't really described as an individual, more a classifier. There's certainly some debate to it, but it being a "group" is where I land.

Upside, Trump continues to not be special. Just an expected nuisance (should you subscribe to all of that).

I don't really believe in the antichrist at all (I was raised Jewish, now atheist). If anything, I think it's an allegory saying "look out for these kinds of people."

I am intimately acquainted with far right Christianity and unfortunately this is not how they view the antichrist. Far right Christianity projects the antichrist figure on whoever they fear most at the time. The antichrist is seen as more or less nega-jesus. Literally the devil made flesh.
