Is there a linguistic connection between languages and shortened greetings I wonder? Arising from the earliest learning of them by little ones.

As an Early Childhood Special Educator, I get the privilege of watching many children develop their language and speech skills. I work with fabulous SLPs (speech language pathologists) and I love β€οΈ it!
I sang French songs to her in French
It worked the kid - now an adult knows and understands many languages and is a Latin Honors student

Putting them in front of a screen is catastrophic.
I'm quite sure that the reason my gdaughter didn't pronounce several letters correctly for a long time is that she was learning language during Covid lockdown and she was watching The Wiggles, who have no lips or tongues, while DiL worked at home.

My daughter repeated, "intellectually speaking" back to my wife at a VERY young age. She didn't have a clue what it meant but she enunciated perfectly. She went on to become an avid reader.
