Who else reboots their Windows PC's by typing "shutdown -r -t 0" in the run dialog or command prompt? Honestly, it's a habit I picked up at Microsoft working there for so many years and now it's how I reboot everything! The ADHD + OCD is real folks! π€£ #TechTip

On my home PC I just use the GUI.
But of course, I don't need to fill out a reason for the reboot like I do on a Windows Server machine. Every. Single. Time.
except on linux, the command is either "shutdown 0" or "shutdown now"
And, no, it's not easy. π
My primary gaming rig is a Steam Deck (also Linux), and I think my entire library runs on it.
Linux is so much better than even just a few years ago.
Nice side effect is that a lot of games run substantially faster under Linux.
I never even looked for it in 10 or 11 lmao
but because of my work i always lock my pc when i go away, even at home where no one else can use it!
and if we return to shutdown discussion, i use alt+f4 on desktop to shut down my pc because i read in a book like 10 years ago you can actually do that
β¦ I often forget I should reboot my Macs more often. Windows, in my limited experience, tends to force the issue more frequently πΉ
I sometimes miss gaming tho. Wanted Diablo 4. π
Avoids any issues with hybrid restarts as well.
