Maybe Democrats lost because they aren't willing to be as mendacious as Republicans. But, I wouldn't want them to be, even if it's for the things I support.
Maybe if Biden didn't try to run in the first place, maybe if MSM had approached the race differently than every other, maybe, maybe, maybe..

I don't know how you can hang the blame on any one person or institution. Trump is playing to people's prejudices, it's powerful, and there are enough foolish people who are swayed by it that he won and has continuing support.

“Is it ethical to buy used books and music?” It’s more ethical than buying from books from Amazon or streaming music from Spotify.

A white privilege hire, like everyone in this administration.

We should have laws forcing these companies to have their software audited and tested by the government or 3rd party rather than testing on the road.

“Groceries a nice old-fashioned word.” Says the man who’s never been grocery shopping in his life.

I hate E-Zpass. Thrice, I’ve received notices from the Orange County (CA) Toll Roads when they misidentified my car. Then, the scam texts. Crappy system.

Knew you as an author first. Read “Red Shirts” because the nerds I followed on Twitter back then were recommending it. Followed you on Twitter. Quit back in 2017 or 18 when it was becoming too toxic for me (yes, even back then). Your account came up when I joined BlueSky, so I’m following you again

We got people being sent to concentration camps, but the big problem in America is porn. 🙄

If I lived in a place wasn’t as gridlocked as L.A., I might still be driving a stick, but stop-and-go traffic is exhausting.

It’s amazing to me that they are so greedy towards their customers yet can’t turn enough profit. Where is all the money going?

This administration is what results of rejecting DEI initiatives and rely on White Privilege initiative: a bunch of clowns.

They threatened to force actors to give up the right to their identities during the strike, but making an animatronic Walt Disney is a bridge too far?

Do you have to be a completely brainwashed Trump supporter to work for ICE in the first place? I’m wondering why we aren’t seeing ICE agents quitting, saying “I didn’t sign up to violate people’s Constitutional rights.”

Wait, Chromium is open source. Smaller companies than OpenAI have developed their own browsers based on it. So, why would you even want to buy Chrome?

It’s basically an expensive amusement park ride. The idea that this leads cheaply and inevitably to space colonization is dumb. The problems and the costs to overcome them won’t scale linearly.

“What if the other side does to us what we’re doing to them?” LOL wow, like has this never occurred to someone on the Right before? “Could this actually be the basis for all these rules and laws we pooh-pooh?” So deep.

Listened to the audio book on my (then 50-60 min) commute. The language is lovely, the characters are interesting. Some intricate details of whaling lost on me, and an entire chapter on whether whales were fish or mammals infuriating. I remember driving in my car laughing at the end.
