I remember Twitter used to be great for sharing news about books and creative projects--even for very small publishers and indie artists! It's much harder to get the word out now.

A friend told me about your blog years ago, and I started following you on twitter--then I moved over here and followed you again.

I limit how often I read the news to once in the morning, and once in the early evening. I use 5 calls sometimes (just 1 call is what I can manage), and I look for other relatively small, doable things and then I push back where I can.

Yeah, if REALLY wanted to help, they could remove medical expenses: Free prenatal care, labor and delivery, & postpartum care for anyone giving birth. Free healthcare (including dental & vision) for 3 years after giving birth + free healthcare for the baby until age 18.

My sister and I went for a walk along the American River in Sacramento--always nice! Then we swapped our used jigsaw puzzles. 😍

Someone posted how to turn off AI results when using Google Chrome. I did that and now search works so much better for me! I should have saved the link--it was someone I don't know, but it is possible to opt out. I'm much happier now!

I'm experimenting with other search engines and trying find a good replacement for Google. But in the meantime, I really like this hack and the AI misinformation it reduces. Thank you David Nield for this Popular Science article that provided the URL. www.popsci.com/diy/how-to-r... (8/8)

This was already happening because PW was far less likely to do free reviews for small publishers (they don't select every book submitted for a review). As a small publisher, it's hard to get a trade review for less than $350.

And there need to be places to sit for those of us who have a hard time standing and walking for extended periods of time!

Yeah, I practiced braiding so much as a little girl, that french braiding wasn't hard to learn--either for someone else, or for myself.
