They know the difference but their constituents don’t. That’s why Trump still has strong support. His supporters don’t know he’s wrong, never see reporters who question him, and aren’t critical thinkers.

Most of the tech bros were cheering for the Empire in Star Wars. I don’t think morals are really their thing.

I hate to say this but the majority of men, even very progressives ones, don’t see abortion rights as a serious issue.

Elon Musk and Donald Trump are living proof that money can’t buy class or common sense.

Sure it’s a lie. Anyone paying attention since Medicaid was launched know republicans have always tried to end it while avoiding blame. The question is how has the democratic leadership coordinated a response? All I see is shrugs. Stop talking and start doing.

Lol. Aliens? If Jesus came back today, conservative Christians would have him deported to a torture prison in El Salvador just for being brown.

Mondelez doesn’t have exclusive rights to red or blue packaging.

Joni Ernst is just a shining example of that Christian love I’ve heard so much about.

The point is to intimidate others to stay quiet or risk the same treatment. They are making an example out of Harvard to stifle descent.

I remember when the Republicans hammered Obama over “death panels” in the ACA. 41% of Americans believed it. Now that republicans have actual death panels, the super fantastic comms team at the DNC and in Congress say nothing.

The police unions say that and chose to enforce Trump and his lackeys anyway. The police do not protect you and they don’t protect each other. They protect property and they serve whomever is in charge.

Alabama gets the government and economy it deserves and wants by picking uneducated racists time and again. It’s not like there aren’t other options in Alabama. They just really like uneducated racists.

And behind every one is a reporter who should have asked a follow up question.

I’ve never seen Meidas Touch do an interview with a republican elected official. I see them reporting on other peoples interviews. I like them but they do not have crossover appeal. The nightly news on local stations are still the most trusted news sources. They should ask better questions.

The White House isn’t acting alone. Local news stations should be asking their elected representatives.

The media won’t put them on the spot and make them say it.

Everyone acknowledges that this budget bill has been drafted to give Trump the American monarchy. Who is going to ask republicans why they supported it?
comment in response to post
The democratic leadership let so many of Trump’s crimes get swept under the rug when they had the power to do something that you have to wonder if they are complicit.

Yes. This is a fact. But pointing it out doesn’t seem to be making a difference. However, to counter Republican lies, democrats need an easy to explain policy to improve the efficiency of entitlement programs. Anyone working on that?

6 in 10 veterans voted for Trump. I don’t think they can say this type of behavior is a surprise anymore. Instead of getting everyone angry and distracted over classless social media posts how about focusing on developing policies and efficiencies that are supported by more voters?

The world is watching “American Values” in action. The U.S. government betrayed the Kurds and will betray the Afghans who helped us during the war. We betray our allies. That’s our thing. You’ve been warned.

I noticed that the press doesn’t seem to be tying the reduction in SNAP benefits to the impact on farmers but they should.

Police shootings are terrible. What’s also terrible is all the police who support the political party that wants to expand access to guns and eliminate permitting. Do police want more police shootings? They certainly vote like they do.

Funny how the press likes to paint itself as a protector of truth- unless it’s speaking truth to Trumps power. Trump is a shit negotiator and is deep into dementia but the media is activity covering it up for clicks.

If Elon Musk is the most charming, personable representative the tech industry has to offer, their economic agenda was dead on arrival anyway.

Hubris isn’t unique to members of any one political party. The issue is that democrats can’t afford to lose members of Congress for any reason. If democrats communicated a strategy to address issues to voters, their margins might be greater. Marches and writing letters isn’t a strategy.

That’s something a psychopath would say.

Thanks for your stellar problem identification skills. What’s the democrats plan to stop it from happening again? Nothing?? There is no plan. That’s the problem.

Nobody wants to hire an attorney who won’t fight back. Staying at Paul Weiss after the firms decision to grovel to Trump will be professional suicide for anyone who stays.
comment in response to post
Lol. Cool story but it will never happen. Most Democrats in Congress are so old and heavily medicated that they physically can’t get excited about or take action against anything anymore. Maybe they will send another strongly worded letter.

This is what Utah wanted. It’s not like any republicans, including republican voters, care about the environment or the health of humans.

Don’t worry. Chuck Schumer is waiting for Trumps approval rating to go down to react. Any day now. Right? Don’t count on the democratic leadership to meet this moment.

Is it a coincidence that plague and pestilence follows Trump’s rise to power?

Strangely, the bathrooms in my house are also all gender. I wonder what Nancy Mace has at her house.

Every company that imports and exports should be considering a Foreign Trade Zone at their site. Bonded warehouses are also great especially located at ports and airports. If your state incentivizes capital investments through grants, it could even be an eligible expense.

Pencils and dolls aren’t going to resonate. Tell people they only need 3 pairs of shoes and there will be riots in the streets.

When amphibian populations started to decline years ago, no one paid attention. I predict the same reaction to avian population decline. We are choosing to destroy the earth. We even have the tech to prevent and reverse some damage but we choose not to use it because $$ and entrenched interests.

Why would Trump want to do that if he didn’t want to turn the U.S. into a police state? Martial law is coming.

At some point we have to ask ourselves what’s in it for us as citizens. We get none of the services that are free or cheap everywhere else. And our military hasn’t won a war since the 1940’s.
