It was an interesting listening experience. I listened to every minute (although time difference between Vegas and đŠđș meant that eps came out at odd times here).
It was intense but genuinely interesting - even for a non tech nerd. Everyone was working so hard, and shared interesting opinions.

Fair.
I make maybe 8 cups of tea every day. And end up drinking maybe a third of each. đ

If we travel again either they plan it or we take the ADHD expressâŠ

Is there any other way to travel?
It took me more than 6 months to plan a 10 day China trip in Jan last year. It almost killed me (the âplanningâ I mean, the trip was fine). Only did it that way b/c I was travelling with two of my boys.

I like these. And the NSW Dep of Ed has a deal with Microsoft, so teachers and students all have access to MS Office and the cloud based versions of the apps which means shareable Word docs. So as long as a student has the internet at home, theyâre good.
Now to encourage them not to use ChatGPTâŠ.

I have a prac teacher with me at the moment and this has helped clarify much of my own thinking about the best way to provide meaningful input on how theyâre doing. Co-creating feedback is such a great framework.
Thanks for the post. đ

I love when Elisabeth discovers artists that I already know - Rage Against the Machine & Jamiroqiai weâre particular faves. And I also love discovering something new myself.
Iâd heard of Linda Ronstadt but had no idea of just how unbelievably good she is. Simply stunning.

Canât wait to see my home insurance after another round of flooding up here. Went up 30% this year already and Iâm not even in the danger zoneâŠ

Wrong kind of cynicism. Arenât they just grifts where the couple âbuyingâ the home (which they may already own) are grifting with the real estate agent and getting publicity so they can flip the place for a profit?

Can relate. Congrats on making it out the other side.

Iâve argued too that the death of the author is invoked improperly with AI â asserting it to abolish authorâs rights, but then suggest text is authoritative because of its âauthorshipâ by AI⊠a false sense that there is an âauthorâ to AI text at all. mail.cyberneticforests.com/data-prior-t...

Iâve lived in Cowper since 2014. It has never once even crossed my mind to consider trying to contact our local member during an emergency. Have never seen him. Never expect to.

As a fluent Spanish speaker Iâm regularly appalled by their commentatorsâ butchery of Spanish playersâ names, but having free(!) access to Liga F and other leagues here Australia is awesome.

Joke away, but I reckon choctopâs legit! đ
I like to deliberately type in as many choice options from the Aussie lexicon as I can think of just to silently fume at their refusal to acknowledge the wider English-speaker world. But Iâm not entirely normal⊠đ

Normally Iâd agree. But up here, Iâm happy to be *not* hearing rain for the first time in 48 hours. The silence is lovely.
Looks like weâll both have a nice nightâs sleep. đ

Yeah. Youâve gotta out yourself in the head of a New York Times puzzler. For âchoctopâ youâd need to do the Sydney Morning Herald version (the name of which escapes me at the moment. Iâd tag my dad but he doesnât do social media).

We got two months worth of rain (other towns got twice that). Not sure if it qualifies as weird but it definitely ainât normal. Am fortunate to be both safe and dry.
Wishing you weirdness back, but of a different sort! đ

Hope this isnât inappropriate, but I find that long-haired look with the jumpsuit freaking awesome. Full disclosure: speaking as a long-haired, extremely fashioned-challenged, very cis dude.

I am *not* a Luddite. I *like* tech. But the brazenness of these companies and the lengths they will go to to fill the ravenous maw of GenAI with our âdataâ (and faces, and books, and articles and creative work) is really radicalising meâŠ
