Build modern housing. Build modern infrastructure. Build modern democracy. More power generation is ok, but efficiency is the game-changer. Yes it can be done in Canada.

Canada Post could be like Swiss Post and transport people along with packages and mail in rural and northern Canada. Many rural locations have lost bus service. France Post has banking services at their rural post offices. Delivering mail should be a part of what they do. Not all they do.

One of the problems is that inflated US private healthcare contributes to GDP, as do private prisons etc. GDP comparisons between countries are not always oranges to oranges comparisons.

Very true. More frequency, more convenience, more reliability should come first.

And they drive them out of fear of what others may do. They terrorize pedestrians, cyclists and other drivers because of their own fears.

I don't know if MLB is a measure of being under appreciated. NBA Basketball ignores Montreal. Or is it Montrealers that prefer other activities in summer to baseball or other winter sports to basketball?

If you have a car, Toronto has more to offer. But the place is more accommodating to cars than to people. Pedestrians and transit users are second class.

All that money, no class, no spine, no values.

I don't see a problem. But I do think an interview with David Cochrane would be interesting.

I just love not hearing his voice. After this reprieve people will not like hearing him sniping in the commons again months from now.

I too am curious. I wonder if the more junior secretaries of state will be reflective of focused priorities. I love that there are zero leaks.

Imagine a god so small and petty that public displays of grovelling and praise are considered to be an effective communication strategy to get its attention. Medieval theatre in 2025.

They listen to Kevin O'Leary though, so no wonder they think we are all pricks.

People with money on the line are the best barometer. Like insurance companies and climate change.

He is not a serious person. His opinion is more informed by his latest bowel movement than anything he has read. And he'll sell out his own country for a buck, let alone any other country.

A big deal is being made about his US past, but his more recent and deeper connection to Peru and South America is more important. Francis was selected because the church felt the threat from US evangelicals in South America. Maybe Leo too.

So much economic journalism is skin deep understanding hiding behind jargon. They look for headlines, not for detail anyway. Trump knows this.

US exceptionalism is stubborn ignorance in drag.

The US is now a criminal enterprise with privilege up for sale. And people knowingly voted in a grifting criminal.

A complete butt-kissing moron. I pity foreign envoys that have to have serious negotiations with such a deranged clown.

He's the biggest butt-kissing moron of them all. I pity the Cdn minister that must deal with this deranged clown.

Governments around the world would love an excuse to blunt the penetration of US cultural imports into their countries in favour of their own.

Is this JD Vance's kind of serious Catholicism?

But I think Poilievre's embrace of PPC style populism to get a few more votes at the expense of having a bigger tent is a culprit in the split with PCs like Ford, Houston and Charest who all know how to win elections. That the CPC lost the popular vote in 2025 is a big underreported story.

Preston Manning is a sore loser. He broke up the PCs to form Reform. And lost. Then watched his party disappear & merge again with red tories in the east. Why is he considered to have insight into the pulse of Conservatism in all of Canada? He is an expert divider and loser.
