With apologies to Parkin, if you end up in Kyoto and haven’t already done it, I would recommend a tea ceremony with kimono. It’s a- such fun, and b-educational

You’re telling me this guy can do medical procedures with the power of the mind? How is his campaign not “I will personally bring down NHS waiting lists.”

The only exception would be the man of my dreams, who has sat next to me approximately zero (0) times since records began.

The longer you look, the worse it gets.

Sometimes it relates to the people you associate with a city as well. Regretfully Paris is associated with a bad time in my life, a bad boyfriend and a snobby friend. Thus I feel meh about it.

How very small minded! People love to make their world as small as possible don’t they?

Number of people asking me “where are you actually from?” Or “why do you live here?”or “Will you go back to live in x?”

The inclusion of nature reference because otherwise not truly a haiku. Someone’s clearly been listening to no such thing as a fish. (Yes I know he’s on it. That’s the joke.)

To your point, the additional benefits partially make up for the blah seating. I had a long trip to Greece over the winter (no direct island flights = long layover) and the upgrade meant I had two decent meals, WiFi and access to two lounges to work. Definitely worth it as a treat.

It reeks of desperation tbh.

It’s basically a second job. Even worse, it’s a sales job.

Greek lamb for Easter is just the right answer I find.

This is a dumb question but has Salah been shit on purpose to force this?

I don’t think they expected the podcast to become his vehicle, remember how he wasn’t even in the credits at the top at first?

I suspect people read that question as “does it seem like there are fewer immigrants/foreigners around?” And the answer is usually no.

I imagine “what the heck is this tariff?” Is also being counted

Tangentially, we’ve lost the sense of purpose in work. I don’t mean some higher order world peace goal, but so many white collar jobs are now just process and project management, emails and meetings. It’s atomized roles in massively scaled companies.

The way things are going, by the end of the year, a billion dollars is going to be roughly equal to 500 Monopoly dollars. If that helps 😏

I’ve found that it’s 1- difficult to hang out with couples, who appear always busy with their stuff 2- if people aren’t living on your doorstep, it’s hard to do last minute house invites 3- as I get older, more friends move away from London (and have kids) and are thus far AND busy

Oops a speech and not a filibuster!
comment in response to post
Possibly quite a dumb question, but legally speaking, what does this marathon filibuster accomplish? (Aside from being cool and Herculean)
