I’m flying via there in a few weeks. Hope the lads at Emirates have got their map out trying to plot a potential flight path that avoids the numerous war zones on route.

Always enjoy his programmes.
Especially the gear change from being minutes away from logging onto Easyjet to book next summers holiday - to sympathising with the plight of an oppressed subsection of their society.

My dad let me watch it when I was about 8. Quint’s death absolutely horrified me.
Still don’t like being out of my depth in the sea, even off the coast of north Wales!

Agree. Surely there is no chance. Barca was his dream move.

When Nige and the lads assume control and introduce a history test to secure ongoing citizenship, I’ll be in the first wave of forced deportations.

I’m clearly no historian, but 5 mins in when he’s talking about Cromwell, and I had no idea there was 2 of them.
I watched the entirety of Wolf Hall thinking it was about Oliver Cromwell and there was some wild artistic license when he had his head chopped off.

That was great.
Just an all-round good egg isn’t he.

Easily one of the most impressive people in public life in this country, that I can remember.

Where to?
I can’t see him giving up another season of Premier League. Appreciate he’ll be on the periphery but he’s always backed himself.
Having said that, I could see him fancying a crack abroad.

I can’t see Bamford leaving.
I certainly can’t see us paying a hefty transfer fee to replace him with Sargent, who appears to be in contract till 2028.

I’ve always thought of them as like sitting through something you might find in the Tate.
It’s a form of propagandist art.
I like it.

55 seconds in for the casually dressed lads who only got an invite to the evening do.

Ha! As this clip was unfolding, I thought:
‘tbf he can’t miss from there…’

I can’t see anything other than him being sold. If the club want to push FFP to its limits that means him and probably Struijk going.

Feels like someone at the newspaper just fancied a laugh. Poor bastard.

I’m not sure the point does stand, if it’s proven to be incorrect.
Not shit stirring, just mystified about the hysteria around this transfer. Thought I must have missed something. I haven’t.
Fwiw don’t think you’re weakened. Bradley looks a right player. Frimpong too…

He didn’t go for free though did he. And running your contract down is just the passage of time. Presume you’d all be well chuffed if he signed a contract then forced a move. He’s won the lot with you and fancies a change. What’s the big deal?! Why not wish him well.

I did.
Expected a more coherent answer though. Especially as he didn’t leave for free.

As with all detective dramas, I lost concentration during 2nd or 3rd episode for a bit, and there was a whole line of enquiry I completely missed. Been enjoying the Syrian lad though.

I binge watched a load of these when I was off ill a while back.
Got a bit formulaic after a while but a great bit of escapism.

Oh please Lord let the remainder of that 3-man shortlist be Lampard and Rooney.

Given our recent experience of acquiring midfielders of various profiles has included £5m on Gyabi, £8m on Roca and £20m on Aaronson, I’m feeling like a sure thing is a good use of our limited funds.

Did both of those about 10years ago. Unforgettable trips.
Do it!

Honestly can’t gauge what we’d have to pay for Longstaff. Established Premier League player in his prime. English tax. It’s bound to be £20m I suppose. Hard to get excited about but some of our signings have to be sure things. #lufc

It’s a huge sign of disrespect from them. They’re mob handed though and making a mockery of me on my own patch. Shameful.

I assume so, but you’d think that’s just a line in a players contract, with a confirmed amount.

Think I passed that point when Chelsea paid £10m for Chris Sutton
