This is directly across the street from the studio Albini built, Electrical Recording Company. All condos now.

Maybe you need a pre-talk to explain the cultural significance of the second talk.

Access to that experience was sooooo valuable but I feel like no modern company would ever dream of having that kind of position.

When I was working in pinball, there was a guy who was like 90 years old and had been in the industry since the beginning, and basically his whole job was to be a mentor and resource for all the other designers to provide feedback and suggestions.

No sadly. Yeah there’s a real where I think every third cheat works in tournament mode but this was just in some bar.

I know it’s probably a really basic choice but I don’t think I could prevent myself from saying Anna Karina in Band of Outsiders. Man that ending of Beau Travail really is magical though.

Man I forgot about the XINA shirts, I know I had one at some point. I wonder where that is.

I would often drive past the plant before I worked there and I always wondered what it was like inside. After shut down I felt like someone should document it for everyone else who never got the chance to know.

Yeah the art assets especially took so much longer, and everyone was still getting their feet wet figuring out the tools.

Especially considering the increased workload for P2K games. An impossible task.

That’s what is so great about it. Two titans at the top of their game about to change the world and they don’t even realize it yet. There’s so much magic sitting right there. An amazing artifact of a very specific time.

This is my favorite photo in all of pinball.

They know they'll fail, that's the plan. Its easier than shutting it down.

Taking the best in the country to a game 7 is something to be super fucking proud of. Way to crush!

Ah my guess was New World Man, which is equally straight. (Huge Rush fan)

Note that these are the special edition with the word "Designing" misspelled on the spine, super rare!

I mean, even Cactus didn't really get finished. The playfield was done but a bunch of features in the game never got implemented.

No the only thing I remember is that that after they decided to go forward with P2K it was all hands on deck and I think they just shut everything down at that point.
