So then the logic would be to desegregate the sports because we have evolved where we don’t care if men lose to women. Just whoever is the best should win. Or would a more progressive view be that there is no such things as winners. Sports are a meaningless construct?
comment in response to post
Competition? Does segregation ruin competition? Do you think men and women should compete separately (segregated)?
comment in response to post
Again. Forget bullying or science or fairness. What is the point of sports?
comment in response to post
Have you watched any of these events?
comment in response to post
From what I see here, everything makes sense. When I watch the actual events, Simone Biles makes no sense at all…

You’re so right. “G-d Bless America!”

From an online perspective, what is being called bravery here is truly brave. I just need help understanding it from a visual perspective. Visually it feels like the Olympic boxer who was a woman beating other woman senseless. It just felt and looked cowardly… Are sports meant to be felt and seen?
comment in response to post
I can see the hypocrisy from an online perspective. But sports events do not take place online. Nor do they take place in hiding. They are meant to be watched and enjoyed. If no one is watching, what is the point of the effort and grind? Can we reconcile the actual visuals of non-competitiveness?
comment in response to post
This seems very heroic based on an online view of the situation. But when watching the actual games / sports in question, it seems a tad cowardly. Can anyone help me reconcile watching the events and being empathetic online? Maybe someone from the trans community who loves sports???

I am really trying to understand the empathy for those who do not have empathy? Please explain why transgender women in athletics are a phenomenon of the last ten years? Maybe it started with Kaitlyn Jenner?
comment in response to post
Exactly. It wouldn’t qualify. That is my point. To emphasize one crime over another shows a lack of justice. We shouldn’t devalue humans because they fall into categories of historically less oppressed than others…

Seems to complicate: If a Chinese cis-man and his Swedish cis-wife are slaughtered by a jealous Hispanic neighbor because they were noisy and overly PDA, the motivation would be definitely hate-filled. Doesn’t categorizing evil of this magnitude start a dangerous course for normalization of evil?

Ao does that mean Trump is pro-Israel?

Yes, Joe Biden.

Why would people not say murder? Is there a legal reason? Was the CEO of United Health murdered? Also, what is the difference between a hate crime and a crime? This story sounds so heart-breaking —- to be gunned down while grieving over your pet. Such evil.

What is the difference between a hate crime and a crime?
comment in response to post
Does the murderer call himself a Christian? That is sad. Because that is anti-Christian.

Its the one by a Puerto Rican guy.

It doesn’t sound like you read my reply. I was heart-broken.

I want to help stop this. However, I feel I may offer some alternative avenues to ending the hate. I wish I could help. My heart broke seeing this post.

Wow. This is amazing! Are the external and physical aspects of the changing giving you increased confidence and peace?
comment in response to post
Oh. I am trying very hard to repress my gut reactions to a statement like that. I know this may be super difficult, but I would request an iota of patience with me on my journey to understand.

Thank you so much! Just watched an excellent video recommended by @cargie.baby Have you ever seen it?

This is GREAT! Do you agree with all of it? Or are their parts that you resonate with more?

Have you ever heard of Ren?

Maybe I will transgress and be rightfully bricked!!! Please understand I am sorry. H O W E V E R… My INTENTION is not to offend but to understand and empathize. Sometimes, what I call honesty others call hate. So my plea would be to look through my hate as ignorance.

Thank you for the vulnerability of your above posts. I just want to go past the initial ‘I hate haters / I love lovers’ dynamic Can we actually talk about deeper issues that underlie the misunderstandings?
comment in response to post
This is terrible. I support people living their lives. Because I am a right-winger my feed is filled with activists who don’t let people live their lives. That’s why I am here. I want to actually hear trans people talk and find out what their concerns and needs are.

I have a hard time understanding all of this. One of the main reasons I got a bluesky account was so I could start to learn. I love listening to Chloe Cole and others, but there are huge parts of their story untold and I am trying to educate myself on those parts.

I have never met a transphobe. I see many comments online that are super hateful. Why do you think people internalize online comments so much? Do you think that is the cause, or are there links in real life?
comment in response to post
That is sad. Maybe I am only being vaguely polite. If you call me deeply hateful, maybe you are ignorant of how I feel. And how I feel may be a part of who I am. If so, I understand. It can be hard to put down the safety armor to see a fellow human.

I agree. I believe my state Senators are very hurtful. I am from WA state.

Ok. Sounds good to me. You just posted three posts of your gospel. I’m trying to understand. I’m not trying to preach. If you are hearing my empathy that way, maybe it is your anger. And I think your anger is most likely justified. I have no way of knowing the years of pain you have felt.

Which picture is 18. Which is 30? Just difficult for someone uninformed like me figuring this stuff out.

I dont care what others called her. My heart was broken by a missing child. Basically the one year anniversary of her running from home.

Does trans girl mean someone born a boy and then discovered they were a girl? Just trying to make sense of the “hate” And why is those who “hurt” always focused on? I read hundreds and hundreds of posts from people who are either Christian or conservative that were so sad and empathetic.
comment in response to post
This is so sad. I just never see any mentions of the thousands of empathetic posts from the so-called “transphobes”. Why are they ignored? Maybe if they weren’t ignored, people who suffer would see they are loved? Why are the spiteful ones focused on?

I also don’t know whether she was Charlotte or He was Dylan. I’ve been searching through the X history, and it is super hard to figure out…

This is heartbreaking. Seeing that photo… I don’t think all the love online from the non-transphobic community seemed to help. Maybe, there are better solutions than blaming bullies and expressing love. If the problem is the bullies, then the solution is to bully them, which is a downward spiral

I’m halfway through. Super enjoy the break down by Tessa of Artisan’s group.

I can find it if there is. Just curious if it is like a hearing or commission meeting…

The best way to help housing is pass ANY legislation that meets the following criteria: Less regulations Faster permitting Get rid of government vouchers Pro landlord attitude More red tape does NOT make a slum lord improve things. They just pass the inconvenience on to renters!

I am a right-wing wacko, but I actually agree with this. In the majority of city planning commissions, other cities from around the country are touted as ‘examples’ for WA cities. There is a huge difference. We have a surplus of green here in WA. We dont need tree lined streets

Why cant this be unlegislated and allowed to be a discretionary issue??? It makes sense in downtown Oly / Tacoma, but most places lack of parking is horrendous. The 123 building is a beautiful solution. Parking is hidden by plants.
