Oh whoops, I thought infrastructure and bettering the lives of people was an investment, but I guess it's just "spending"

There's an implied hidden instruction: "make a good thing". To counter this, follow this advice: make something that sucks. It's not hard to do. Keep doing that until you fail

M:i-2 came out during my Metallica phase. The combination of I Disappear and the upcoming Napster trial put my fandom to bed

For example, the restaurant level. I learned about the walk-in freezer after I killed the pirate nearby. I got a second chance to use it after I rescued the cats

The cool thing about Skin Deep is that the second half of each level lets you use all the tricks you learned in the first half. What I don't like about im-sims is that I learn about some cool people-killer thing after I killed all the people. But now I can utilize everything on an even tougher group

Start blocking UV light in various ways and you'll find how much it contributes to the feeling of "hot". I have a UV blocking tent thing for the beach and it feels ten (freedom unit) degrees cooler under it

Most glass blocks UVB but not UVA unless they have a specific coating. So you won't get sunburn but it still has an effect

I'm very fortunate to have a large arcade with nary a crane game in sight. Games from the 80s to modern VR. Obscure Japanese rhythm game where if you're lucky it'll explain the rules in English. To keep it alive I have to go. Luckily they have Star Wars a Trilogy Arcade, and I will 1CC it some day!

Perhaps the most peculiar part is the little community in the bottom right present in 1953. They survived and grew through 1963, then completely gone by 1967. That's such a short amount of time!

We supported the Allies well before Pearl Harbor. The Lend-Lease Act for one example. Would we be supporting the Allies if FDR were not president? That's a better question

I love ffmpeg. I don't love having to compile ffmpeg from scratch in a Docker container so that videos are watchable in vanilla QuickTime. That was a long time ago and I'm too lazy to check if anything has changed
