“drug possession, sale, and use, and traffic violations” Oof. Ok so we give up weed but get traffic violation enforcement. Obv tying MPD to undocumented immigrants is fucking horrible but the citizenry will hopefully keep them protected.

Contractors will be very concerned but not enough to speak publicly because they fear retaliation. Instead they will go through their trade orgs that will scurry around on the hill. So far that hasn’t resulted in anything. Contracts will not be funded or awarded leading to losses and layoffs.

Not even. Amazon relies heavily on USPS for rural areas. Take that away and they likely won’t pay for the alternative.

And have they been renovated? JLL did an assessment for us for the VOA building and so much space went to large hallways and too many restrooms (segregated bathrooms 🫠).

Not really because those types of contracts are called personal services and only allowed by statute. These are consulting contracts.

Banks are worried about tariffs but they recognize outstanding debt for federal contractors impacted by cuts. Will the administration pay all of those open invoices and judgements from the equitable adjustments resulting from the contract terminations?

It’s so bad. He uses the term “contract proposals” as a part of government process yet has nothing to do with that process internally. They have no idea how the government operates and it shows.

Having worked in the gov this is absolutely true for Senior officials. Those folks can be fired on a whim as we are seeing now. Rank and file GS don’t take shit and this admin figured that out the first time. Those are the folks that slow roll crazy directives.
