Game #16 (6/2): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown. What a fresh take on the classic ninja turtles. Very fun to mix and match the loadout and find new weapon synergies. Start to finish, a great time.

Game #15 (5/29): The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Absolutely still one of the greatest games of all time. Hadn't played it in decades, yet everything still stuck with me. Simply wonderful to return to. Perfect pacing, great intrigue built in the world, good side quests. Perfect game.

Game #14 (5/14): Yakuza 0. Equal parts silly and serious, the game is packed with unforgettable moments. Look forward to playing more entries in the series.

When the drums drop out for a second then the bass starts really pumping, with the melody singing over it all, that is soooo fucking good.

I see the effort with the city connect edit, and I appreciate it.

The Williams is looking revitalized and Albon is taking advantage of his car's improved performance. Sainz is taking steps forward each weekend, but so far Albon has been the stronger of the two. I look forward to the two of them continuing to push each other and Williams forward.

I did so many mods on the steam version to get this (including translation). If it could be packaged that way without tinkering and released on other consoles, I would be pleased.

Game #13 (4/29): Star Fox. I've been playing a bigger game but didn't want a month to go by without a game being beaten. So I played this. Even with the framerate dropping to single digits, what's behind the performance issues is still extremely special.

Finally, someone mentions meteos. What an awesome game.

Any word on if newegg pre-orders will actually still go live today?

How are points broken down? 10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, etc?

100% getting, looks like an absolute blast

Game #12 (3/26): Ascent DX. A micro-vania without any combat, it is a single sitting game but well worth a playthrough. Easy recommend for anyone who enjoys exploration and wants a short but fun game. #gaming

They saw that Lawson and Yuki weren't worlds apart last season, and Lawson has had much more time to try to adjust to the red bull. Unless Red Bull thinks Yuki is a much more adaptable driver it would be crazy to think Yuki would do much better (counter argument: he certainly can't do much worse...)

Happy to see some Gitaroo man votes in here. PS2 is a powerhouse of a system but that game is so special to me

Hopefully the switch 2 presentation isn't overshadowed by the release of croc

What's more wild about the rumored price tag is that it isn't far off from the switch launch price when you adjust for inflation.

I will always recommend the criminally underrated ChronCube series. It feels the closest to traveling back in time to the early 2000s. youtu.be/dkpttNf1z4M?...

Game #11 (3/12): Incredible Crisis. A great sense of humor punctuates a series of generally annoying mini games. Short enough that it was still something I'm glad I played. #gaming

Game #10 (3/10): Super Mario Bros 3 for #Mar10 . The best Mario game of all time.

P5 in constructors feels possible. Maybe they end their podium drought as well?

I was a huge Yuck fan so it blew my mind to see that the Brutalist score was written by THAT Daniel Blumberg.

Game #9 (2/28): Paper Perjury. If you like Phoenix Wright, good pixel art, and want to fall in love with a cast of characters, Paper Perjury is for you. #gaming

Game #8 (2/27): Threads of Fate. The platforming was occasionally painful, the combat was on the simpler side, but the music, lighthearted story, and colorful graphics were more than enough to make it a fun time. #gaming

1. Do you ever post full list anywhere? 2. Do you have full list of ballots? Think it'd be interesting to run some data analysis on it, stuff like "X game only got 20 votes, but it's average position is Y so people who play it really love it"

Game #7 (2/17): Pru the Pigeon. The experience lasts less than an hour but it still manages to provide some variety to the table. A fun 3-D platformer that was only $2 on sale ($3 full price). Would recommend to anyone who had tried and enjoyed Celeste 64. #gaming

Bought and installing! Thank you for putting this collection together!

Game #6 (2/7): Metroid Prime 3. A very good game that is absolutely a relic of both the era it was released in and the platform upon which it was released. The weakest of the prime games (admittedly a high bar) still has plenty of great moments so was worth my time. #gaming

Game #5 (2/6): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist. I remembered this game as "a worse Turtles in Time". I was correct, but it's still a blast. Michaelangelo is the best btw. #gaming

What they've marketed is just a screen and the console is actually the dock

The rise and fall of the term "jaggies" (seeing when it was most frequently used and when it stopped being common)

Game #4 (1/30): Mario vs. Donkey Kong (2024). The controls felt unresponsive at times and the game took a long time to ramp up in difficulty, but it evolved into a satisfying experience. Underrated soundtrack. I just wish the loading screens weren't so frequent. #gaming

Game #3 (1/14): Ninja Five-O. The occasional wrestling with controls didn't spoil what was a pretty tight experience. Great to pick up and play in short bursts (a relic of the GBA era). I promise I won't be beating games every other day, I had been juggling this alongside Gestalt lol. #gaming

Game #2 (1/12): Gestalt Steam & Cinder A fun metroidvania that doesn't overstay its welcome. Smooth movement and incredible pixel art carry the experience. I ended up 100%'ing this - I just hope we see the story continue at some point. #gaming

This post reminded me of how much I enjoyed gt7 with my wheel, and today (weeks later) I ordered a psvr2 to dive back into the game.
