Well said. My wife had to go to Croydon with our Ukranian guests. She could not believe the attitude of the place even to people we made a national decision to welcome. Nobody should have to endure that kind of institutional hatred

Same. Wrote to my (Labour) MP about it yesterday. Asked him if he feels my Ukranian guest has caused harm to the country or whether my guest is exempt because he is white.
I'm not expecting a reply, but when politicians play the race card we all have a duty to call it out.

Of miles of track in one night, and both runs a company and is chief researcher. No clue is given how, because the author is clueless with no understanding of business, science or human behaviour.
Oh, and the 10 page monologues are all piss and wind as well.

Congrats on your perseverance I suppose. I read Atlas Shrugged many years ago and like many was staggered by the bad writing and lack of understanding.
One character is promoted through every level in the business at 2 year intervals, reaching the top by the age of 28. Another changes thousands...

Find 10 principled colleagues and cross the floor to LD or Greens. That would change the discussion fast.

Follow it by saying Johnson's brexit failed, and pivoting to a Norway arrangement, pointing out it was what Farage wanted and campaigned on in 2016 to take the sting from his attacks.

You can, but at the end of the day we have to train our politicians better. If your dog saw there was no consequence for crapping on the sofa, why would they stop?
Same with politicians playing the race card.

I have voted Labour occasionally in the past. I won't in the future.
Starmer should be drummed out of public life just like Powell was.

LibDem, Green and SNP/PC/Alliance to choice, plus PR so we all get a say.

I have been happy to vote for you, and I support this plan. But I will never vote for anyone on a Labour platform again after Kier Starmer gave it the full Enoch Powell today.
Wrong on its own terms, and likely to lead to collapse of the care sector and then the NHS.
Utterly wicked.

@georgetakei.bsky.social do spend a moment checking out @ledbydonkeys.org as they have been doing great work for several years now.

I will not ever vote for the traitors at Reform, or even 'Reform Lite', whether that is Labour or Tory. I am not alone.

I am no expert on this, but to answer some of the questions a key difference between this and a more traditional tram is that it can be installed without relocating a lot of the services that you have in a typical road. A lot of the cost of a traditional tram line construction is tied up in that.

So many mixed feelings, since I have to change my passport this year for one that no longer says European Union on it.
I mean, I could not afford to buy my way in anyway, but it was something to dream of.

How will that help them win over the Reform voters who are pissing over the statue at the same time?

You were blessed to have him, if you will forgive me putting it that way. His books are amazing and will be causing ripples in L space for a long time yet.

If we don't say anything, Labour will assume that we are happy with their red lines, which are so much more extreme than even Farage was arguing for in 2016 (he was touting Norway as an example at the time of the referrendum).
