Plenty of other fodder for criticism, but this might be a bit of a stretch, Art.

That’s the theory but have you seen the Supreme Court’s current composition?
comment in response to post
The Republicans are in control of every branch of government, and while maybe a select few see him for what he is, most have abdicated their morals for the opportunity to grasp and wield power. The Democrats don’t have the votes to hold him accountable.

Everyone has the right to an opinion. But this opinion is terrible. 😂 Phantom Menace over A New Hope is where it really goes over the rails, even if the very top of the list is something I disagree with too.

For some reason I recalled this conversation today. Hope you enjoyed yesterday, despite the current squad’s inadequacy. 😜

If it makes you feel better, every other NFL fanbase is in the same boat as you…but we didn’t win a Super Bowl. 😂

You act like we have some beef that doesn’t exist. Ask whatever you want. I explained the hypocrisy, I gave my opinion on Sanders. No, I didn’t think it was “clueless” for GMs to pass on Sanders bc I didn’t rate him that highly and I assume they knew things I don’t. What else?

I’ll answer any question you got. I literally have no idea what else you’re asking.

You said “you really think a top 2 prospect at the most important position in all of sports should drop to the end of the 5th round?” I answered that above. No, but I’m not a scout. And it’s never been my point anyway.

I don’t know why I have to opine on Sanders, it’s irrelevant to my point. But for what it’s worth, no, I don’t think he should have fallen to the 5th round. But I don’t have all the information the GMs had, and not every GM was even looking for a QB.
comment in response to post
This debate has never been about Sanders - you seem to be missing the point. But if I was a GM, no, I wouldn’t have taken a QB in the first round, including Sanders. I found these QBs underwhelming relative to last year.
comment in response to post
About Sanders? I was shocked he fell, but I also assume that NFL GMs knew more than the media did about him. I watched Sanders no more than three times in college. He played poorly in one of them (Nebraska) and was fine in the other two. I didn’t see a top 5 pick, but I’m no scout.
comment in response to post
The hypocrisy is in calling out someone else for being incompetent and suggesting he somehow knows better, when he doesn’t. The NFL might be totally right about Sanders. We don’t know yet. Nobody does.
comment in response to post
Because it’s hypocritical for him to say GMs don’t know what they’re doing when his entire job is to scout nfl players and his track record is no better than theirs.
comment in response to post
You are talking nonsense, honestly. This all stems from me making the point that Mel is in no position to call NFL GMs clueless, because he knows no better than them. If you agree with that, great. If you’re making some other point, you did it so badly that I don’t even know what you’re arguing.
comment in response to post
What part of this do you disagree with: Mel knows no better than the NFL GMs he’s calling clueless. I genuinely don’t know why you’re so bothered.

I can do this all night bruv

You are needlessly aggressive bro. I have no opinion on Sanders. I’m saying Mel’s comment that the NFL is clueless is out of line. Only time will tell if the NFL was right or wrong on Sanders.
comment in response to post
What I’m saying is, you can’t sit up there and say the NFL at large is “clueless,” suggesting you know better than them, when his track record proves he doesn’t.
comment in response to post
I think you just proved my point. Mel’s success rate is no better than the NFL’s, so his comment is inane. He gets some right, he gets some wrong.
comment in response to post
Wasn’t Mel the guy who swore that Jimmy Clausen of all people was going to be a successful QB?
comment in response to post
Johnson is a fantastic player but injury concerns abound.
comment in response to post
And yet they still could not beat Michigan. Amazing. Gotta love college sports.
comment in response to post
I’m not saying he is or isn’t, but how do you know this?
comment in response to post
Just to name one nobody else mentioned…Don’t Let Me Down deserves a spot. You’ve got to hide your love away, across the universe, strawberry fields, a day in the life…so many belters.

In the US broadcast they made the point that Arsenal haven’t been top even once all season. Easy to say now, but they were never really a challenger. Just too many draws.

He’s an excellent player but how he fits into a good side, his temperament, and his work rate are all major concerns. The amount of walking he does, you’d have to build the whole team around him to avoid getting run over by opposing midfields.
comment in response to post
I don’t understand the need to diminish the league title. Whoever wins it, wins it. That’s why you play 38 games. To determine the winner. Debates about whether it’s a vintage season or not are absolutely beside the point.
comment in response to post
Happy he’s back in Buffalo but expectations for his productivity have to be extremely low, IMO.
comment in response to post
He’s not in the squad, mate. He is in the stands. It’s not so complicated.
comment in response to post
That’s fine, I think we’re just analyzing different things. I’m talking about how accurate that Opta prediction is. And I’m saying Gabriel being out reduces the quality of their squad and thus reduces the likelihood that they will win the CL. I am not debating the quality of their squad if fully fit
comment in response to post
We’re talking about a projection into the future - chances of winning the CL. His past availability is irrelevant to a future projection, given he’s been declared out for the season.
comment in response to post
Gabriel is out for the rest of the season, for starters.
comment in response to post
I’m not saying they don’t have a chance, but genuinely why would they have a better chance than Barca or PSG? Take away set pieces and Arsenal don’t have many scoring threats. Been their issue all year.
comment in response to post
I do not think any of the nations will boycott unless things regress significantly. There is just too much money, pride, and effort at stake. And FIFA’s president seems to be on good terms with the mad king.
comment in response to post
It’s just so early, the portal makes these projections meaningless. But if UConn portals some depth (or if AK stays), UConn should be top 5.
comment in response to post
Well, I hope you’re right. You lot will be back next year. No chance you have as bad luck with injuries again. This was a one off.

LFC supporter here, I wouldn’t rule it out. Liverpool have been dire for a month and have a tough run in. Only question is how much the Champions League hinders Arsenal’s approach to the PL games.

What’s noteworthy is not that Shapiro is suffering, I agree he deserves no sympathy given he vociferously supported Trump. What is noteworthy is that a Trump sycophant is turning on him, which has very rarely happened since Trump first entered the scene.

I have always defended FSG, and still do…but that said, I will believe it when I see it when it comes to major investment in the squad.

West Ham would be thrilled with 85m for Kudus, absolutely giddy. Good player, but…

Stay classy.

I have kids now, but thankfully I remember the 80s just fine. Glorious time.

When United won the PL for the first time it had been 26 years since their last title. Every team has had stretches without a title. The timing of Liverpool’s just happened to coincide with the advent of the PL. The fact remains if they win this year they’ll be joint top for league titles.
