Hey Trent we don't see you round these parts non often. What's up with that? Do the Russians still have tires or no? I for one miss your long threads from the other place, to which non here shall return until Elmo passes into shadow.
comment in response to post
Surely the club must have some intel r.e. any possible legal permutations...
comment in response to post
but is this good or bad, in the context of wanting to see a weakened Russia? You are usally really clear on the implications of the machnications of the Russian Court in the real world, not sure what this announcement portends..
comment in response to post
I can see that would be very challenging. At what point in a person's transition would they be deemed to need or want to use the toilet of the other gender? At the point of a GRC?
comment in response to post
I didn't know that. Excluded from where though? You can't talk to someone and expect they know all the same things you do
comment in response to post
I fully understand you might know lovely trans people and they are no more a threat/danger than anyone else, but someone who is in charge of the prison population has to deal with this and make decisions?
comment in response to post
Ok, but I did acknowledge that in my question. Can you give me an answer? There are 260+ trans prisoners, so it's not a nothing burger and does have real world implications.
comment in response to post
Who already had what?
comment in response to post
I'm not, stop being so patronising. I'm asking questions, answer them or don't 🤷‍♂️
comment in response to post
Can I ask if you think a trans women who was a man and committed rape should be sent to a male or female prison? You might get angry at me and say I'm picking the worst example and trans people aren't defined by one person, and I accept that. But at the same time, questions like that need resolved
comment in response to post
I disagree, although I can see your point. I think the framing, and the whole point of the court case, is rather that it's not as clear cut as many suggest and there are valid reasons some women want women only spaces.
comment in response to post
Ok. I've never heard of two women having a go at one another about one not being feminine enough to be in the same room as the other. And to be clear, the implication was this is happening to 'cis' women, not talking about trans women.
comment in response to post
What rights have trans people lost as a result of the ruling?
comment in response to post
Sure you can, it's not very polite though is it, and doesn't help anyone
comment in response to post
Why would a woman be banned from a woman's only place on the basis of being a woman? Can you give me an example of that?
comment in response to post
So what right have you lost today as a result of the ruling? Genuine question.
comment in response to post
That's nice, but can we not find a place where we can acknowledge that we want trans people to be happy and live their lives AND that women get the safe spaces and sex / gender (whatever) services they need? It doesn't have to be a binary choice and people picking sides
comment in response to post
Just get a different doorbell man
comment in response to post
The only possible way forwards is new facilities, categories in sport, etc etc, to enable trans people to live on an equal footing with peers, in safety and with the services they rightly should have access too, and free from discrimination. But don't dump this on women like they haven't got enough
comment in response to post
And that's just the inescapable contradiction at play here, it can't be resolved by arguing the other side to death. It's like unionism or the northern Ireland - both sides have valid points but they can't be mutually reconciled.
comment in response to post
Add to that the stand out cases they grab the attention like Isla Bryson, a rapist, being remanded in a women's prison. I struggle to see how that person should be put into the female prison population for the sake of their rights, at the expense of the safety of women
comment in response to post
Indeed, it just seems the fate of prisoners is an odd hill to fight from and won't help in the bigger argument you're looking at, imo. According to some sources, as many as 2/3 of trans female prisoners are for sexual offences
comment in response to post
Why are they in prison at all?
comment in response to post
Been going on for ages but really interesting examples. Some of the most egregious are detailing videos where a perfectly good car has been, literally, filled with dirt and caked in mid. YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT WE DID TO THIS ABANDONED CAR!!!!
comment in response to post
I thought that until right now... They are all doing chores aren't they? Aren't they...
comment in response to post
Not on X, we are all over here for a reason
comment in response to post
I'm not American 😂 thank god
comment in response to post
They are produced in California, at South park studios, omg can you use Google or the internet at all? How old are you? A fictional border town in Colorado does not a Canadian TV show make, as the old saying goes
comment in response to post
You have in no way apologised, or corrected / admitted that South Park is a 100% US TV show. Start there. I have no agenda, you know nothing about me or where I'm from. I just pointed out south park isn't Canadian, and I'll die on this hill.
comment in response to post
Is south park a Canadian TV show, yes or no?
comment in response to post
"Partially speaking" doesn't mean anything. What are you. Anyway, south park STILL isn't Canadian
comment in response to post
Balanced
comment in response to post
Hahah just noticed you've used self depreciative, as in to reduce the value of an asset over time, rather than self deprecate, which is to make fun of oneself. Another self own. The writers are both American and are not being self deprecating when they mock Canada, moron
comment in response to post
Mate, just admit you were wrong and south park isn't Canadian, wtf
comment in response to post
Don't feed the troll, he's not literate
comment in response to post
Hey dumbass. This has nothing to do with the US and its flaws. This has to do with you and your flaws. South park is not canadian, grow up
comment in response to post
You are an idiot. You said south park was Canadian, I called you out and said it wasn't, and you've gone down some weird rabbit hole and landed on Canadian milk. Couldn't give a fuck what Canadian milk costs you fanny. Admit you were wrong and move on
comment in response to post
What in the overly sugared fuck are you on about. You said south park was Canadian. Nothing about the show is Canadian. Stop trying to be smart, it's not working
comment in response to post
Wtf are you talking about. South park isn't Canadian. 2/10 for garbled history lesson that makes no sense, and even worse, doesn't make a point
comment in response to post
What part of Southwark is Canadian?? Two US exec producers, produced in California forever, by Americans, for a US network... Anyway, the great ridicule of Canadian animation seems to be a niche issue the rest of the world is totally ignorant of, good luck with your struggle
comment in response to post
Clash of heads in the box, no pen, can you believe it! And Liverpool have just got a pen that in no universe is ever a pen. Have a look. Week after week the inconsistency and double standards continue
comment in response to post
@gwkj1.bsky.social another day, another inconsistency, or to look at it another way, another day and another unique, unprecedented decision seems to only apply to arsenal. Gotta love these refs eh, top of their game
comment in response to post
The Ødegard ankle breaker, not even a yellow, MLS straight red for a trip - that is bias in action, and from the same ref, applying different standards to different games, players and clubs. You seem determined to not even acknowledge that Oliver makes bad decisions against us, repeatedly
comment in response to post
He's not thrown anything away, and I'm not saying he's corrupt, I'm saying he has a bias, and bias can be influenced, however marginally, by a fancy trip away in a private jet.
comment in response to post
Yes, but be as that may, he has made several awful decisions against us - awful awful decisions, and there comes a point where you can't just say it's error, because he's not making the same errors against other clubs, not least city. He has a bias, it's clear.
comment in response to post
Moving the goalposts mate and I'm sure you know it. If Korenke was flying Oliver out to the states to ref one game for $300k, in his private jet, people might well question whether his decisions in our favor thereafter could be fully relied upon
comment in response to post
And then there is PGMOLs circle the wagon behaviour, trying to shape a narrative on total fictions. They are totally incapable of policing themselves to the detriment of the game.
comment in response to post
There are ways to make change, that still appreciates and respects what a difficult job it is. Money a start, so Oliver doesn't need to moonlight, on a private jet, to ref a game in.. checks notes, the country that owns Citeh. There are clear and obvious issues and biases that need to be changed
comment in response to post
Again, really interesting points. Michael Oliver has just made one of the worst calls in prem history, with the benefit of VAR, and is being punished with the Merseyside derby. Maybe VAR needs to be a separate branch, a separate entity, to create a better culture? More ex players involved...
comment in response to post
All good and interesting points, thanks for sharing. Your position seems to be that what we have is as good as it gets and can't be improved upon? Darren England and Michael Oliver are clearly mates who don't want to / are scared to override and challenge one another. That is a terrible culture
