This one has honestly the most painfully slow start I enjoyed it once things pick up a bit more but it felt like it took absolute ages for it to get there

That sounds interesting, I’ll have to keep an eye out for it I just got the PiƱa Killada flavor and it’s delicious

Aside from Head Like a Hole I would have to say probably Capitol G

And it is the only JRPG (Jokes aside I’d never heard of Dread so I looked it up and that actually looks really fun) 😮

I’m right on the edge of being Gen Z and Millennial and when I had my first smartphone I don’t remember if it was 3G/LTE/4G but it worked fine at the time What’s funny to me now is when my phone has to revert to anything other than 5G I might as well be getting the packets from carrier pigeons šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

Jenga Role-playing game

I want to do a new playthrough with the Giant barbarian subclass and focus mostly on just throwing people around Realizing you can use goblins as ā€œimprovised melee weaponsā€ to club other goblins with was a game changer also 🤣

It would’ve been fun to hear what power tools he dragged to the studio for this one though

I actually never had the classics when I was younger, just the shuffle, but I got these a few years ago from eBay for fun and planned to do some modding to them but never actually finished any of it I love the feel of these things though

My first Larian game was Divinity 2 The Dragon Knight Saga in like 2010 or 2011 and it was super janky but at the same time one of the best games I’d ever played, I’ve been a huge fan of theirs ever since. But their games being ā€œjust for basic gamersā€ now is an absolutely wild statement to me 🤣

I’ve definitely been less active lately, but I am on here every day a little bit and I’m not going anywhere Recently started a much busier and more tiring role at my job so I mostly have been just scrolling and liking posts here and there

Hitting . And scrolling through the list of methods/properties looking for the thing that makes the most sense šŸ‘Œ And then grudgingly opening the documentation for that thing and reading about what I’m trying to do after I try a few and they aren’t what I thought they were

If turn based is enough that Baldur’s Gate would also be a JRPG, and if it’s just ā€œis Japaneseā€ then Dark Souls is also But the sub genre usually refers to games like Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest/Persona End of the day it’s mostly nitpicky semantics though, they’re all RPGS

When I first ran into them it was immediately after tweaking my graphics settings and I was like ā€œoh no, it’s buggedā€ lmao

I love all the little things like this from the previous Elder Scrolls games that they just didn’t put in Skyrim for the sake of never making the player really face any consequences The Oblivion remaster feels almost more like what I wish Skyrim was

I feel you. I’m still there and still planning my escape lmao Thankfully now though I have a role where I almost never see customers and I’m way happier with it even though it’s a way harder job

I really love how spellcasting is completely disconnected from equipped weapons in Oblivion, so I’m doing a battlemage of sorts

I had this happen to like 3 different AirPods and my best guess is that something damaged the mic used for noise cancelling and it’s mic feedback I think mine was caused from really strong magnets that I used at work, but I imagine it could happen from dropping them

I had a similar experience with music when I first started taking meds for ADHD, and it absolutely blew my mind that when I was listening to music and I could more easily comprehend the lyrics of songs and could enjoy it beyond just ā€œvibesā€ and it gave me a lot more appreciation for it

Oh what the fuck, it’s already out?? I saw that it was being announced but didn’t know it’s actually launching today I just might have to jump into this tonight

Yeah, any auto detection for languages I’m always highly skeptical about because they can be REALLY messy For example iOS’s built in translation has MANY times just automatically told me that it can’t translate Kazakh when the text is in Russian or Ukrainian 🫠

They’re waiting for you, in the tesssst chamber

Dish soap in a small container, if they’re on a wall or ceiling they’ll often hilariously just drop in there if you hold it up near them This pretty much traps and kills them without letting their stink loose Source: I’ve had entirely too many of these fucking things invade my house every year 🫠

Oh interesting, I’m going to have to look into that

I’m guessing with the Xbox cloud streaming? I tried this when I first got my Steam Deck and I had pretty much the same experience

I like to have a main home base in meadows near the spawn and to make smaller outposts in new zones Usually I’ll try to find some ruins in new biomes and sort of build onto them

At this point, I just want Fable 2 on PC 🄲 it was one of my favorite games on my Xbox 360

This is my most played VR game by far, it does get repetitive when you play it a lot if I’m honest, but it’s a really cool stalker+Tarkov-esque experience

At the time I was playing around with Raspberry Pi’s a lot and trying to find some sort of hacky solutions to get certain Apple features onto my servers and Linux PC I still would love to be able to AirDrop directly to my NAS 🄲 that would be so cool
comment in response to post
A distro is basically like a ā€œflavorā€ of Linux Some flavors will be more to your taste than others, for example if you REALLY like getting into the weeds you may like Arch or Gentoo Or if you just want the computer to shut up and do computer things you could use Mint or Ubuntu
comment in response to post
I would also add that networking and security are very important If you want to SSH into your server from outside the LAN, set up a VPN server instead of opening ports to do it For your game servers if they’re accessible to the internet, I’d recommend having them on their own VLAN to isolate them
comment in response to post
Honestly, just start small, re-use old hardware if you have it, for example I run a NAS using a Raspberry Pi and old hard drives that I took out of my PC when I upgraded to SSDs If you want a fairly inexpensive PC that’s not a Pi, you can get Lenovo ThinkCentre mini PCs for pretty cheap
comment in response to post
Yeah it’s nice to not have to hassle with it, I like having anything I may want to play at some point soon installed beforehand I’m going to be doing a semi-rebuild of my PC into a new case, and I’m considering getting another huge nvme when I do it
comment in response to post
Game sizes are getting crazy, I have a 2TB SSD and another 1TB SSD in my gaming PC and I keep having to move things around and uninstall things to make room, but I thought it was going to be overkill when I bought the drives lmao

My first desktop Linux use was on Manjaro, since I wanted to try something Arch-based after the Steam Deck was announced but it had the incredible ability to break itself without warning But now I’m using regular Arch and it’s been fantastic
comment in response to post
I third this notion I don’t use Mint myself, but Linux in general is awesome for this and Mint is one of the most accessible distros out there
comment in response to post
I genuinely don’t understand the purpose of them, so it’s funny to me but it’s gotten me a few little games for essentially free Super tedious to list them though, unless they changed how it works since I did it last time

It means that you must always be caranching to ensure successful caranching

He was just trying to welcome you 🤣 Jokes aside, that thing is absolutely massive 🫣

I’m probably going to be messing around with something similar I’m planning to give my old PC parts to my friend who’s never had a gaming PC since I rebuilt it in another case but never did anything with it But I like the case too much so I have to get a new MoBo to fit my current PC in there 🤣
comment in response to post
I agree, and same with Morrowind even Each Elder Scrolls release has been like this, they got more ā€œpalatableā€ as a whole but at the same time each part got less interesting and more simplified I’ve played the most of Skyrim but find the individual parts of the others to be just better
