Huge and so real, thanks m8 though. This really resonates with me/seeing your personal take also helps me sort out my own experiences for sure. 🤝

One of the most important things you can do is be your own advocate - so others can understand the real impact of their actions, take accountability, and grow from it.
As someone who experienced abuse, this conversation hits close to home. I really value takes like these that offer more nuance.

longer form post for the win! thanks for expanding your thoughts on this, it's definitely a tricky subject

I think it really depends on what happened, what the behavior or actions were...because if it involves victims, then we really want to be cautious of reintroducing players back into a community when those who were hurt haven't had a chance to properly heal, share their stories, or be understood.

I need more eyes on that fr... 🙏 Maybe more orgs should do little updates or clips! That would be nice 🥺 a recap on their tournaments (like shoal, dapple)

I wish there kind of was a weekly recap of events or happenings in the Splatoon scene in a way that was bite-size/tiktok/yt shorts vibes.

Also to add on, I do agree with some folks here that maybe some form of moderation or requirements or expected quality should be established for tourneys/orgs? I'm not sure how that would work, but I'm on that wavelength of thinking 🤔

I feel like the best kind of tourneys for low level and the general population of players is ones where people feel like they can compete on even ground. I think it goes back to why things like LUTI are important or skill-capped tournies of high quality!
