The scoreboard stayed at 0-0 for what seemed an age as well.

We survive quite well without a Gail's in the north. Other local bakeries are available.

Maybe he was just ill!

I know that is what Alexander has said. I have to say Khela looked disappointed to be substituted.

Baffled as to why Khela was substituted. We lost all control of midfield at that point.

They always do it to us.

I like Sylvagrow, it's the best. Our allotment society bought a pallet load of Rocket Gro organic peat free as it was a good price. So far my peas, peppers and aubergines are doing well in it.

I think that's out of date. There are other reports that say his contract runs until June 2027.

It's like being on a different planet. You won't see a single piece of litter anywhere. Travelling on railway super easy. The ticket inspector bows to each carriage. Rules about indoor slippers in ryokans took getting used to. You must all experience an onsen too. You will love it.

It was a grim watch aside from the outstanding strike from Pattison. At one stage it was a festival of throw ins. Hope Pattison, Pointon and Sarcevic are both fit for Saturday.

There were lots of good performances. I'd add Crichlow, Huntington, Byrne, Wright and Smallwood to that list.

It is unlikely to be at the top of your radio favourites, but there is currently a storyline in The Archers about a wild release of beavers. Local farmers up in arms!

Apologies. Your post indicated to me that you wondered why they weren't in claret and blue. No intention to offend.

They are wearing black. It is their 150th anniversary and black is the colour they wore until they switched to claret and blue.

Thought the partnership between Richards and Pointon was excellent down the left. Pattison (who was my MOTM) and Sarcevic read each other very well too

It is very rare to find new tenants who know what they are doing right from the start. We all learn through experience. What is certainly needed is motivation, time and effort. Sadly often lacking with unrealistic expectations. I reckon about 1 in 4 or 5 succeed long term on our site.

They rotovated horsetail??? Yikes, the new tenants will be pulling the stuff out to eternity. Those plots look huge BTW.

My brassicas have all been rubbish, ditto carrots. Lots of success with potatoes, peas, garlic, onions, field beans. Everything else average.

It always makes me smile when I pass the Bay of Biscay on the way to my allotment.

We've got heavy clay but over the years the soil is much improved and yes I sowed early. I can grow everything else but these have defeated me.

Celeriac is the one vegetable that has defeated me. I've never managed to grow one larger than a walnut, despite following all the advice re feeding and watering.

I loved the handwritten footnote on this poster at Glastonbury. I pinched it from Prof. Alice Roberts.

It was good to see some of the varieties I have grown for them as a Seed Guardian in this year's catalogue, including Red and White bean, Sheepnose pepper and Uplands bean.

If I recall correctly the new celebrity restaurant took over the Happy Friends cafe that cooked with supermarket surplus for those who couldn't afford to feed themselves. There was a protest and Jill threw the flapjacks. The restaurant was called Les Soeurs Heureuses.
