This is a path of social media decentralization, so nope, it's not going to be just one app. It's already not just one app, we have blog, podcast, events organization, and more.
but it also depends of the creator to add their project there, so some might be missing, especially those that are still WIP
Again: decentralization. But also keeping with us the control of our user data, if we want to move across those apps or not.
And concentration of eyeballs on ONE app is partly how we got in this mess with TikTok in the first place. Competition breeds innovation, and also, Skylight isn’t run by Bluesky—different entities altogether.
I wonder can we keep likes / reposts / engagement too. Looking forward to seeing it in action !
My only fear is I currently have a quite old iPhone and possibly won’t be able to beta test on it.
