I'm sure Trump thinks that looking like he's out of 'central casting' is all that is needed to dupe his MAGA faithful and his cowardly self-serving enablers.
Trump doesn’t any more know what he wants than he could articulate a coherent vision for the country through his campaign rally word salads. His appointments will be dress rehearsals for the people who got call backs after auditioning (er, sucking up) during the last 4 years. He’ll get rid of
Isn't the point of a career in the military so that you can work your way up the ranks and one day be nominated defense secretary because you know the chain of command inside and out?
Honestly at this point a military coup is starting to look like the good outcome. I fully expect Russian troops in the US by the end of next year. Get those passports ready, a lot of us are going to need asylum.
Well I think you have to assume that the average soldier does not want trump as a dictator as his commanding officer. Situation now is similar to when a king in England starting doing similar things usually an alternative person came along or civil revolt or civil war. Or we imported a king
Yep plus you have to take into account anyone who complies with unlawful orders will eventually end up prosecuted in international court for war crimes.
GOP Senators fear responsibility more than they fear these nominations. The best way for them to avoid responsibility is to eliminate their own obligation to confirm. In fact, the more of their jobs they can cede to Trump the more time they can spend doing what they love: blaming Democrats.
