She told him that if he'd had every man he'd ever met tell him that two inches was actually eight inches, he might have some depth perception issues too. . .
I grew up under a conservative regime that banned all pornography along with curtailing women's rights & civil liberties. So I associate porn with freedom. I was shocked at the rise of prudery among Swerfs & conservative feminists. Fortunately that is now being called out by sex positive people.
Not sure any one will care that it will be illegal to create or watch next year....unless there's some hidden speakeasy for it to hide from the corrupt law.
Porn kills your sex drive and is as about addicting as cigarettes. They take advantage of young women and discard them as soon as they’re no longer “pretty” or “young”.
Funny. Conservatives say it's a sin because it encourages self-abuse, and Nazis say it's a Jewish plot to diminish the white population by normalizing interracial sex. You wanna be on their side?
As to the negative effects, I am not qualified to speak, but I will say, like alcohol it may be bad for the addicted, but addiction is the problem, not the substance. And like alcohol it can give great pleasure to the many people who aren't addicted to it.
Know I do not call for the abolition of pornography. I simply want people to know that like smoking and cigarettes, pornography can be a dangerous vice, and addressing the original post: pornographers don’t care for you, as like the others, profit off of your addiction, and decadence.
Porn is the canary in the coal mine when it comes to our rights. It's often the first to go. Pornographers business interests often coincide with our freedom. I think that's what the original quote was about.
As it is an infringement of rights to prohibit alcohol and tobacco, and could be said for marijuana, in the end their industries will always be profitable regardless
Very true and there are more likely than not more people who consume porn and are not addicted and not the victims of such side affects, much like cigarettes or alcohol, but also like with these industries there are shady and often illegal practices that are used to maintain the industry
As to the industry there is a whole amount of alternative porn. There is lesbian porn, gay porn etc. Much of the porn produced now is in only fans and most of that is directed and controlled by the artists themselves. Anything you complain about the industry is just a complaint about capitalism
There is a whole lot more to porn than your clichés. Firstly, differentiate industry practices from the art and from the effects on people. So you have conflated 3 things.
There is no emperical evidence that is a general case, that is a twist on purity culture twisting frankly poorly collected data. Sex work, like most high-stakes labor work, has a lot of issues with the exploitation of labor. Doesnt mean that the work and product it's self is the problem.
There’s actually lots of studies done linking pornography addiction to lower libido, relationship issues, depression, technology dependence and many other harmful side affects. If you’d like I could send or post the relevant sources.
Hey, so a lot of the studies you’re referring to have serious methodological flaws. In fact, studies show that in moderation, porn can be good for people’s sex lives.
There’s also a strong association between people who are highly religious and feeling their porn use is an addiction - bc they feel..
Flint was monumental in getting the right to terminate a pregnancy-Hustler mags expose on the deaths of women was morbid but it all needed to be shone in daylight
Malcolm Muggeridge was heard saying, "The purpose of pornography is to stimulate sexual arousal, which is unnecessary for the young, inconvenient for the middle-aged, and nearly impossible for the old." Oh well...
Alt Text: A picture of filmmaker John Waters sitting on a couch with his hands clasped together. Text written over him says, "Remember, pornographers have always been on our side. Brave, Ready to fight for our rights. Smut is your friend." It is a quote from him.
Porn is also a driving force of Internet technology. You doing a Zoom chat? Porn sites did it first. Streaming video? Porn. Broadband? Of course people needed bigger pipes for more porn.
Eh, it was a bit of both adult stuff being available, and the affordability of VHS, but more on the cost side. VHS had longer recording times, too. Sony also flubbed opening up the licensing for Beta.

loved the picture and the message, thanks.
Did you hear about the female Navy pilot who went off on a general for criticizing her landing?
