For me it depends strongly on the colour of the rest of the appliances this person may/may not have. Mostly white kitchen? White. Mostly black or stainless kitchen? Black.

I think the metal one looks nicer overall.

If you know what their kitchen looks like one of them might match the other decor a little better, but I like that one.

I like the white one better, both because the shape is visually appealing to me and because the spout doesn't protrude quite as far into the area in front of it, which would make it less awkward on the counter/getting out of a cabinet.
