I won’t sugar coat it, today is one of worst of my lifetime.
January temps 1.75C above pre-industrial levels, but eerie silence from those who’ve sneered at ‘alarmists’ like me for decades.
Meanwhile, suicidal governments everywhere are sabotaging our chances of getting out of this mess.
Bleak.

Somehow they all agree on the need to combat the climate crisis, but still think it's a "nice to have" once the important priorities like the economy are sorted out. Infuriating.
I'm sending you love and strength (and needed the same yesterday, so feel you deeply).
Organise and resist and hold love.
is opportunity to practice these things, to use my privilege for the voiceless
(ps baby I go back to Malta Dec was at signing in Dec 89 so lemme tell ya being ignored on climate ain’t new)
We’ve been through bleak times before but we have less experience dealing with them now.
(Why do I sense that you are going to come back with more bad news?)
We facing several existential crises but instead of facing these planet killing crises we spend all our time fighting abject insanity.
The hotter this planet gets the more we are just going to be killing each other. I highly recommend being armed to the teeth
Why should I, with no children, give a crap. Stupid won. May nature's next attempt at intelligence learn from our mistakes.
The rich will live in climate controlled domed cities whilst everyone else will fight for water. Mad Max world made real.
For a little while, anyway.
And I’m almost certain scientists know this.
I hope I’m wrong for my grandkids sake.
