New rule: if your only response to a video about western separatism is “well that doesn’t include bc” you’re getting blocked. Nobody thinks it’s about BC. You’re just being pedantic

Can I call you "The Stever" or "Steverino"? How about "Big Steve"? "His Bootsey Steveness"? "Steve Steve Bobeeve"? "Mistah Boots"? "The Bootsinator"? "Stevey Bootstomp"? Do any of these appeal to you?
My (side of the) family lives in Alberta and work in oil/resources. I've lived my entire life in BC. I don't even feel like I belong in my family because of how different our views are.
It may not be BC, it may be, but whether it is or not these are problems we need to solve.
No offense intended whatsoever Steve but as a B.C Canadian born and bred, being constantly associated with Albertans and the prairies politically when we are VERY distinct; has been an exhausting experience so I can understand people being fed up with it.
That being said I fully understand western sepratism sentiment isn't without some legitimate grivences. However I feel B.C has also put up with a LOT of federal bullshit and rather than advocating for separatism and division, we've insead advocated for unity and mutual support by and large
Nobody is doing that. At all. Literally nobody is suggesting bc separate. If you can’t recognize that the term western separatism doesn’t include bc at this point I can’t help you. It’s a made up grievance
You say nobody is doing or saying that, yet I've come across people who are advocating for and pitching exactly that. It IS pretty ridiculous but its certainly not a completely unrealistic association. The political landscape is changing faster than ever in our lifetimes and this is part of it
??? I'm not though? I have no issues with anything you said I just wanted to point out how Canadians from B.C have been getting rather upset with being lumped in with wildly different political stances.
Only solution I can see is for BC to get louder. I know that can happen, before BC gets swallowed up in the magat movement
Never thought I'd see the day, but the clock is ticking on BC.
I think people are frustrated, cost of everything, stagnant wages. Unfortunately, it makes them want change, but they don't do enough homework to know the change won't benefit them. Hopefully, Carney can get us through this coming recession in much better shape than our neighbors down south.
I get it. The blame game is counterproductive. Agree there is definately an element of people not getting out of their own way. Time they did, me thinks.
“West—East” is sloppy and does deserve to be pointed out. My Maritime friend is annoyed by being lumped in with Central Canada in these debates. The West Coast apparently shares that annoyance. “West” asserts larger movement.
If you can’t figure things out from incredibly obvious context cues, I can’t help you. Sometimes in politics we speak in general terms, that’s just reality. The problem is these are people who mistake nitpicking for insight
After Donald Trump’s manipulation of the American political sphere, I’ve lost faith in the efficacy of incredibly obvious context clues. 🤣😂😅 Looking forward to your next post. ☺️👍
I'd honestly have thought the complaints would be about not including BC, from folks in the interior.
But instead it's people like me who know Vancouver and the Island would never vote to separate, and that's really strange those people couldn't *listen*

Everyone loves a pedant.
