Sadly, announcing a new commission to report in 2028 is just another way for Labour (+ next govt) not to have to deal with it. Even I, an interested layperson, could read the 25 existing reports and formulate sensible recommendations. An expert should be able to do this within 6 months.

This failure is entirely due to society not accepting responsibility for paying for reform to social care via increased taxes. No political party dare increase taxation even though the benefit to society would be huge. Death tax then dementia tax are terms used to frighten the public & it worked
