Impressive. However, I don't keep many books. I like to recycle them around to thrift stores where I buy more books and often some I have already read. Half to one chapter in, hand to forehead! 😉 I do keep some favourites.
There are all in here because we are moving…but we are moving into a 30 year old log cabin and I’m building a huge library in the loft! 32 boxes from the first floor. Two more floors to go… collector for 30 years
I used to have so many books I ran out of shelves and had them stacked everywhere. Two things happened - I started reading ebooks because I had to travel so much, and I had to move after 18 years in my home. I wound up donating the vast majority of my books to the library. I only have a few left.
We own 1,490+ books- I can’t upload photos of them all right now but here is a pic of the tbr shelf we put in the living room. I’ve got my read books between the bookends.
Currently also reading: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow (hardback) The Dark Hills Divide (kindle) The Crystal Shard (audio).
So pretty! I need better book shelves. But I did sort through my books today! Proud of myself for deciding to donate some to a local used book store! But now I can buy more right? Lol
I don’t have any yet 😫. Getting our floors replaced this week then my shelves are coming. Any shelf recommendations people have send them my way or else it’s IKEA.
You want to see 12 feet of warehouse shelving stacked to the ceiling with cardboard boxes? 'Cuz that's where my collection has been since I got divorced and had to sell the McMansion. #booksky
I no longer have any. I have been trying to downsize and so i donated 10 boxes of books to a Women's shelter, some with kids, over the course of a year. I have no kids to leave them to so i found a good place for them. Hopefully the women and their kids enjoy them. I have a new collection started
You've got more than most people 😀 Have you read the original Thrawn trilogy? We just covered them on our pod last year. Now we're reading Revenge of the Sith.
We recommend the Thrawn trilogy. It's quite fun. Especially getting to see the early expansion of the Star Wars universe with Thrawn. Hope you'll check it out.
I am a book dragon. Mine are all over the house. I have had to organize them by genre, fiction in one room, science fiction/fantasy in another, non-fiction/biography, children/young adult, cooking, art, romance/thriller etc. Almost every room in my house has bookshelves.
Ok, I love the look of organizing by cover color, but I have questions. Does it ever drive you mad? Are you able to find what you’re looking for? Do you alphabetize within a color or just embrace the chaos?

Top left to right: Bridgerton, all the Ali Hazelwood books, Percy Jackson series.
Bottom left to right: Throne of Glass, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and another Percy Jackson book!
I just reorganized and donated some things but it's still stuffed full 😅 Someday I'll have a proper sized shelf instead of this closet cubby.
Currently also reading: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow (hardback) The Dark Hills Divide (kindle) The Crystal Shard (audio).
Here’s my chaos
