Judge Ana Reyes, before beginning today's hearing over Trump's anti-trans military ban, addresses last Friday's TRO hearing in the IG case, saying, in response to commentary about her hearing, "I do not think that denying a TRO makes me a fascist."

Hey so those of us that aren't lawyers (me included), our "expert opinion" about things we have maybe less than a working understanding of is very unhelpful here.
You might be correct, she might not be "crazy". I used that term bc of OP.
Let's just say a Fed Judge responding to random public commentary from the bench shows poor judgement, lack of self control & extraordinary defensiveness
That doesn't make any sense to me. I don't know if it's because of bad sentence structure, or because you think that the possibility of a preliminary injunction forbids the granting of a TRO.
She also noted, in response to some people who suggested she ended the hearing early to accommodate a hot date, "I do not have any dates scheduled for this week or the foreseeable future."
So I picked the wrong fucking example. Work with the idea here. Because Judical Watch probably already does this about all the judges standing up to Mango and Fasc who they want to impeach.
And, finally, to someone who asserted that Reyes was trying to impress the Attorney General to keep her job: “I’m not trying to impress Pam Bondi,” directing people instead to Article III, Section 1, of the U.S. Constitution.
I suspect I will come to have very little use for the DC District judges that seem at best indifferent to an executive coup their colleagues have spent decades egging on incrementally. But our system takes time to work, and judges deserve the benefit of the doubt to apply the law reasonably.
When you apply for a judgeship you do so with the understanding you are going to be subject to scrutiny from the public. That’s true even if you’re a rural magistrate in the middle of nowhere. The job requires you get over your ego to follow the law and proceed towards justice, not personal glory
The judge is correctly pointing out that the criticism makes no sense because under the Constitution Bondi has no authority over her job. I take this as an attempt to stop disinformation even if it seems like thin gruel to the internet.
Just regarding these pre-hearing comments, I want to note three things: She did say her friends were sending her these things. Also: The hearing got a lot of attention and press coverage, and it was a long weekend.
Ethically, a judge really should not be paying attention to their press clippings. Most judges take this seriously and do not read any news article discussing subject matter of any case they have in front of them. Troubling to hear a judge admit she is closely following the media coverage of her.

Also, this is for a different case, right?
Sounds like she has paper-thin skin. Just what you want in a judge.
Seems real petty
