BREAKING: DOJ takes Trump's effort to end birthright citizenship to SCOTUS, asking the justices to limit three existing nationwide injunctions to the plaintiffs in the cases — a move that would allow the admin to start implementing an EO that several courts have said is plainly unconstitutional.

The GOP for a long while has been "It's only okay when we do it".
They love using nationwide injunctions from Texas but they're gonna try to get the supreme court to limit this one cause they agree with the initial framing (anti birthright).
This will be another monumental case to watch out for.
It’s almost like they do t know what they are doing and they just want to bully people into submission.
“You what?”
“I waggled me wig! Just ever so slightly - but it was a stunning effect…!”
Go ask your Dad.
“Dad, can I..."
Go ask your Mom.
Bold move to ask the Supreme Court to implement different US citizenship rules for different states’ while litigation plays out. But I guess practicality has never been these people’s specialty
They have done plenty already, but a blatant anti-constitution ruling allowing birthright citizenship is a clear, unambiguous violation of the their oath to the constitution.

They don’t want to do this to “white people”.
I think the “originalists” are more likely to punt, than open Pandora’s box to allow an arbitrary application.
