Autism awareness month is ending and I have a few things I'd like to say to those of you who've supported me this month...
This has been the hardest autism awareness month I have ever gone through. (1)

I appreciate the energy you've given this and I'm sorry you've had to deal with harassment. You did a wonderful job. You helped me and a bunch of other people. That's the most important thing. So thank you.
You have accomplished what you set out to do, Autism Awareness. At 71 do I really want to test myself, then again 71 years of denial have made me pretty good at it, denial that is.
I'm not making light of it, just wondering how much longer I can put it off.
Still on behalf of my patients who are on the spectrum & their families and of myself I thank you for all your hard work
I haven't been able to reply to every comment, but I have read every single one. (3)
And for that, I want to thank you... from the bottom of my heart. (4)
Because the truth is, being a public and vocal autistic advocate is scary... and even traumatizing at times. (5)
And so, even though autism awareness month is ending... know that my advocacy most certainly is not. (7)
