A couple weeks ago at a protest, a lady asked me "Aren't you cold in that shirt?" (it was a thin long-sleeve shirt w/t-shirt on top, and it was in the mid-40's, so I was very comfortable).

4. Hunger is not a thing, sick is?

I just realized I stopped digging bloody holes in my scalp...... right about the time I started adhd meds.
Wow I hadn't put that together until just now. Mind = blown.
I know temp regulation cause my sister is an autistic premie. But allergies is weird.
I looked it up and while yes, 2 studies found a correlation, it also specified there's no cause/effect relation. It's a little less than doubled chance.

There's also not enough to claim that autistic children are more likely to develop an allergy with how varied the factors are that go into it.
I hope they're resting peacefully. 💞
This one is eczema. The abstract says yes and explains why!

If someone assumed that ASD can cause allergies from the post, it would definitely be an assumption not a presumption, and I’d say that’s on the reader entirely in this instance
But maybe there’s also just.. a higher rate of allergies for no yet known reason. Bodies are weird af
Most people don't get diagnosed with allergies. They just learn "oh I shouldn't eat/touch this."
Plus parents that get their kids tested for autism are more likely to also test for other ailments! :)
Pretty much run the table on that list, lol. 4 especially.
P.s. Note that these are NOT autistic traits. They are common issues that frequently co-occur with autism based on research.
But, no, I'm not neurodivergent. And if you believe THAT, I have a bridge for sale. 😜 Growing up in MA = must. Be. Sarcastic.
I have this one because of dysautonomia, which is also more often an issue for us. But I also have sensory issues interacting with temperature and regulation. So that’s interesting, sometimes neat ands sometimes horrendous.
