The headline says it all...
A former Schumer staffer, Leah Juliett, is sounding the alarm that Schumer's leadership has "left many young voters increasingly disaffected by politics and disconnected from a party that once felt aligned with our values."

The Reformers stand with young people: It's time for Chuck Schumer to step down and make way for a bold, uncompromising leader with a finger on the pulse of young voters.

10 terms house
4 terms Senate (ex)
So not booting out as they gain critical knowledge yet also not overstaying and becoming insulated. And yeah 80 yrs max is too much including as President. Just an idea.
And of course overturning Citizens United has to happen. I digress!! 👊🏻🙏
It's amazing to me how many people have already forgotten that Nancy Pelosi led the resistance last time around. Without her extraordinary leadership, Trump could have done so much more damage.
So much for a grateful country...
Chuck the Cowardly Senator caved to the Republican party. What he did was give Mussolini Musk and his minions more time to do irreparable damage to the SSA by fucking with COBOL.
He didn't stop a goddamn thing.
The stock market is tumbling, Social Security is in real danger, and we're moving towards a recession.
If the Dems had forced a shutdown, Trump would be blaming the Dems for all the economic problems Trump's policies are creating. Now it's all on Trump.
Schumer's "don't blame us, vote for us" strategy might make good politics, but it definitely weakens the much-needed resistance.
People would have still received their checks.
Facts matter. Next time ~ do your research before spewing lies.

I read AND comprehended it correctly.
Don’t add obnoxious behavior on top of not knowing your shit.
That’s not true ~ as of now.
I’m well aware of how shitty our administration is BTW
Luckily they do at least state this after the first paragraph: "But Social Security benefits would still go out."
So yeah. I'm going to open my mouth. It's a free country.
We need to contact our Dem Senators to name a new Minority Leader.
Schumer is a lot older than Hakeem, but they both seem to be stuck on the same page
Fetterman is relatively young
This guy? Not so much
#StepDownSchumer
Chuck is skilled at _internal_ caucus and candidate matters but he SUCKS at communications strategy with people _outside_ the party, especially opposition.
It actually serves the dark forces who launch disinfo campaigns on how mainstream politics is out of touch.
And when only serving for a fixed term reduce opportunity for corruption.
It's daft to throw away experience. But equally dafter for older generations to make decisions about what they don't comprehend.
Many of us think like you do & share your proactive values. Plus, we have extensive, relevant experience, empathy and think out-of-the box.
Further, some of us have big mouths & write effectively.
I agree Chuck Schumer must resign as Minority Leader.
Classic UK example is former MP Michael Portillo. After shock loss of his seat he went and shadowed people doing real work for a year, like hospital porters. Transformed his view on so many things. Sadly he never returned to politics.
Similar thing with some MPs who served time.
It's a more accurate description and better fits with the other names (The Lost Generation, The Greatest Generation, The Baby Boom, Millenials)
Millennials just took 10% of The house a few years ago where the oldest millennial was like 42/43 years old.
Boomers had 10% when they were mid 30s.
to step aside for the good of the nation.
#StrongerTogether
As one example, people who refused to spend 30s looking up how tariffs work before voting for them. That's lazy.
Nobody wants you here so…
All I hear from my wife, Cary Grant.
What can he do that I can’t?
Big spiel, big star Cary Grant.

Remember Joe Lieberman? Even Joe Biden back in the day.
They come at issues in a place of protective privilege where comprise is "okay" because the implications to them and their immediate circle is not real.
They are ambulance chacers not change agents
It seems like he is only tough when it comes to HIS rights to stay as party leader; but when it is OUR rights on the line he gives them away like candy.
It's their complete lack of understanding, the ability to think of others besides themselves, and the greedy nature that got us here.
It's why they have healthcare, insist trading, and portfolios in the millions.
Call me when the revolution starts.
But at some point it's also on them to adult and let us get there together. Glad to see signs of life here.
DOWN!
If the young voters go to third parties, they are helping the Republicans anyway.
If the young voters don't understand the consequences of their decision to not vote for Democrats, they deserve the fascism they will get.
Progressives enable fascism. Don't believe that?
In 1932, the Socialists in Germany divided the opposition Hitler under the slogan "First Hitler, Then us".
Look it up.
Look at the end, "Progressives" have at least one thing in common with fascists, they are Jew haters just as they were in 1932.
You are only one step away from being a fascist yourself, if you aren't one already.
They want their voters to be as dumb and loyal as Republicans.
TL;DR - Bill Clinton
Literally, how?
Unfortunately, they are in the minority so unless they can getnenough Republicans to join them, they can't by themselves do anything until they get a majority in Congress.
This old 'has-been' needs to go sell his books in his retirement!

"I'd rather be dead than rapist red!" And the only good nazi is a dead nazi.
Please note that half the country voted for very old ass.
Young people need to be MORE active & not check out because they are upset. They have to work to fix things.

FYI -no true communism ever thrived without participating in free markets
EVERY “communist” country also subscribes to totalitarian policies & fascist ruling by violently oppressing citizens. Typically by ethnicity
Communism is inherently fascist
So come down off that high horse -
Practice vs Theory - often disappointing
Half of PRC is capitalist. That is how they interface with the Capitalist world. That’s why they buy our Treasury bills and prop up our government.
Half of PRC is communist. People are housed and fed and have healthcare. They build giant centrally planned cities to fill with people.
Please define communism.
Entertain us.

There is more than one problem in this mess. Schumer is the one who was elected to fight Trump on our behalf.
We can hate them both.
And how, exactly, is Schumer paying? He had to postpone some book signings. Otherwise he’s fat and happy.
They’re both to blame. They both suck.
Gawd damn MOTHER FUCKING COWARD.
He is an incompetent leader at this moment. Bitching and moaning is our right, actually.
But yes, you are also right; no one is coming to save us, so we need to pick up the sword and fight.
Kamala Harris was representing most if not all of what Leah Juliett wishes for...and see what happened...
Schumer has left VOTERS OF ALL AGES disaffected by politics and disconnected from the Dems.
The theme of that disconnection is "Why should I support someone who is just going to cave?"
BUT I don't know THAT much about the ins and outs of internal US politics...
It is time for younger blood, and hopefully, honest politicians. The honesty point is key😐
It would be nice to see politicians who don't shy away from issues. Democrats have pretended immigration wasn't an issue. Yet it is for a lot.
And, yes, it is possible.

FIL, who is A veteran on social security and disability, just had his Eye Surgery cancelled.
He told my SIL, "they had to take the funds to pay for the immigrant crisis." 🤦♂️
Education is preemptive, and a better use of time and energy...
... Which is why the white supremacist regime is gutting education.
Elon isn’t the only entitled, rich person in Washington. Most of us are sick and tired of Chuck Schumer and the same entitled leadership that plagues politics. Just because they’re wealthy.
It’s key to remember that in the last election, roughly 1/3 voted maga, 1/3 Democratic and 1/3 stayed home.
Engage the voters to fully participate or democracy is lost.
Term limits have been allowed in many instances in this country. I’d prefer to see an engaged electorate instead of a civically lazy limitation of service.
