As a Californian — born and raised in the city limits of Los Angeles — who also spent a lot of time growing up in London, Brooklyn, and the DC metro, let me say that now that I live in New Hampshire, I fully appreciate how dipshit “liberal big city folk” are to people in small, rural “red” areas.

7th highest per capita income by state?
higher than california?
that new hampshire?
(But I’m also from the Bay Area so am very familiar with the west coast version of this…)
It's somehow mind blowing to them that not everyone votes Republican in a red state. Or, regardless of voting record, everyone still deserves basic rights and access to services.
They don't want to make things better, they want someone to hate and feel superior to. The side they join mostly comes down to which of those impulses is stronger.
HOW. DOES. THAT. HELP. ME. AND. OTHER. VICTIMS. OF. BAD. POLICY.
Who live in New Hampshire!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s not good politics, that’s dipshit politics
Like I literally do not fucking enjoy your useless and mean spirited comments
And they are mean spirited
Politics *should* be about meaningfully improving people's lives. Painting broad swaths of this country in FAFO is awfully revealing of the people holding the brush.
