A recent Genshin Impact update reveals yet another striking actor has been recast.
Here is the apathy it receives in response.
Shame on anyone who thinks the strike would ever “become an invalid reason” in this context.
These people are fighting for AI protections.
Support them.

But yeah, that and those comments being ok are another topic entirely haha
Fans not supporting the actor and supporting instead the company is absolute nonsense.

A real fan of the characters would prefer them silent in EN for as long as it took to get their voices protection.
ROLEPLAYING WITH FRIENDS IS A THING PEOPLE GODDAMN?!
Oh, is that why they’ve been radio silent about the strike? Is that why they’re been recasting various roles in English without any explanation?
If they give a shit about the English dubs, then they would have signed the interim agreement a year ago.
Worst case scenario they might have to recast all non union actors or persuade them to join the union, depending how negotiations go down the line
I can see why some might not want that outcome if its true
Himekos EN VA, Cia Cour shared this post which i base some of my "anti union" speak reasoning
I´m just trying to understand each side here as an outsider, doesn´t help when many in the industry (VAs too) are providing what feels like contradictory info
And realistically would non union VAs want to sign it? If they haven´t joined must be for a reason
It's a mess, between the strike's length, general lack of transparency, and spread of misinformation. Many of the actors have their hands tied, and I think both Hoyo and SAG (as an entity) are mishandling it.
It’s insane that people are giving grace to the billionaire gacha company and think that Hoyo is the one most under pressure here.
Actors are asking for the SAFETY within the industry & people think the billionaires the ones having a hard time?!?
Okay, fuck that person in particular.
If they just SIGNED AN AGREEMENT, they'd have returned that day!
Good to know I was justified.
You do realize that a company with x amount of money can keep prior actors, yet they're wasting valuable resources, and our own money, to recast more people? How much do you think the company is losing out on?
'Welp, guess we gotta use up our money and get new actors!'
GPM is doing a video series breaking down the most recent proposal comparison chart. You should check it out weekly! Sharing correct info is important :)
Half of them are tech bros 😭
It's disgusting
It feels even more inconsiderate for people to be complaining about it knowing that they still have access to the content and that they're being so disrespectful to the actors responsible for the performances they love.
The current Episodic content is missing at least half it's voiced dialogue, but no one's been replaced
Yeah it's crazy that the gaming companies are still refusing to cooperate at all with the actors.
Because it's them you should be angry at, not the actors. Support the VA's striking until the gaming studios relent
Fuck AI. Fuck not protecting your actors who bring the roles to life.
You deserve better. Let the strike go until y’all are protected from this AI cancer!
#NoHoyo
Power to the actors! ✊
Hoyo fans when their favorite character's VA is fired: "That's very sad, I hope the billion dollar corporation is doing well!! ☺️☺️☺️"
I don't get why so many people are supportive of the replacement.
It's like like kirbopher who had an actual scandal (which did come to light years before he got hired) and got replaced for PR purposes.
I am pissed and have stopped playing Hoyo games-
