elder race switches between fantasy and scifi based on the narrator
dogs of war is told from the pov of a robot dog if that's a selling point
ogres is an allegory about the evils of the rich and powerful
You may consider Dogs of War-duology next. It also leans into the BioSciFi in the Children of-series.
What did you like about Alien Clay and Children of Time?
I loved the concept of the octopusses and spiders in the Children-series, but the individual protagonists in Dogs of War have really stayed with me.
Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong just picking anything he's written.
I've enjoyed everything he has writtenmyself, but there are so many it's somewhat overwhelming.
The insect ones are probably not for everyone, though.
I’m still chasing the high of Children of Time.
Tchaikovsky is good but uses so many words.
Like Alien Clay, Im half way through, and there is a lot of stuff that is not about Kiln and Kiln should be the story, if u ask me.
