But off the top of the head, Why would the Tories get rid of Badenoch now or any time soon when they have no idea what's going to happen in 3 years time. The Tories will know by then if they have any chance of winning an election.
During the selection process it seemed to me that everyone expects it to be Cleverly by the time of the next general election.
But with this Tory party, who knows what will happen and how many leaders they could go through.
The death spiral towards Farage in no.10 continues. Posts on here about the pound improving against the dollar (indicative of competent politics) won’t make a blind bit of difference when it comes to the polls - a la the Biden administration. Time to be bold otherwise we’re all doomed..
Kemi Bad Enough is yet another novice Tory leader, they are doomed. What’s the betting Tories will split with half joining Reform, great news for Labour.
Maybe Ms Badenoch is doing all this sandwich nonsense on purpose so they will swap her. She may think she’s bitten of more than she can chew (pardon the pun) 😊 Keeps us talking about her though doesn’t it?
Tories did very badly in the last local elections. If they have even worse results next time then Badenoch will be, as Chris Bryant likes to say, toast.
I suspect there will be many Tories who will hold back from another leadership election, because they know it would make them look even more ridiculous.
You still don't see what's happening🙄The so-called f-ups of Trump's in the eyes of the political class meant nothing to the electorates. The far-right and their media have replaced the moral compass of the public with a thirst for hurting "the others" whatever the cost.
Only negative here is that Labour and Starmer are not publicly wiping the floor with her and the Cons. it’s like he feels sorry for her and is going easy! Would not be the same if the roles were reversed. No more Mr. Nice guy!
I wish I believed that. But being a deluded, naff egoist didn't stop Trump being elected. Nor did it stop social media magnates sucking up to him... There's an organised international force behind these people.
Exactly, she needs to kerp the fucking up to a low level, and just passable, until late July 2029. Then they need to vote in Jenrick to ensure it's 15 years out of power.
Taking herself far too seriously. Should could have shown a human side with the sandwich banter; instead it's "HOW DARE YOU JOKE ABOUT BREAD PRODUCTS WHEN THE COUNTRY IS IN RUINS!"
Who's next off the rank? Go for Robert Jenrick? There's no one jumping out, which is great, obviously. It's the England football team and left backs in the late 90s, they'll just keep putting in people who are up to the job.
It's not that she is a vile, racist thicket. That's not her fault. It's what she is.
It is the fact that the Tory party members thought long & hard before concluding she was a fine example of human to represent their ideals & would make an excellent leader of their party. #badEnoch
TBF to Tory Party members it isn't as if they were offered a choice between Kemi and an actual fine example of human. (Not that they would have voted for a fine example of human but that's not the point)
If Truss hadn't become PM in 2022, kept her seat as an MP and then been chosen as Leader of the Opposition this autumn, how long do we think she would last in post?
She'll be swapped out in about two and a half years. They can't afford to do it any sooner. The instability at the top of the Tory party is a big part of what turned the electorate off them. Swapping leaders sooner than 2027 or even 2028 would be the end of their electoral chances, small as they are
We're only a day from her saying "I never sleep. I just hang upside down like a bat for 4 hours while listening to recordings of people reading Guido Fawkes posts"
A friend of mine who used to work at the Home Office confided to me that every morning they had to go to the cellars and release Michael Howard who spent his nights there hanging upside down from the ceiling.

And they need enough sane ones to want to. And that makes it a really high hurdle.

Sigh 😞
Am convinced they put her up there to fall and so clear her out from the next GE. #R4TODAY

All governments need a decent opposition.
I’m sure Farage would love some turmoil within the tory party to be able to merge it with Reform.

Who would they nominate? 🐸?
Suspect he’s too busy penning his next memoir ‘Unhinged’
Cleverly believes too much in his surname

Is Badenoch more politically inept than Truss?
I mean how long would Chris Philip last as leader?
Everyone knows that
Same vibe.
