This IS the moment!
The US are untrustworthy now and it's actually beneficial not to have them in any of this at all.
British, French, German, Polish etc troops in Ukraine, without NATO command structures?
We have been effectively at war for over a decade now; the current front line just happens to be Ukraine.
Not clear how a smaller European force today will take on Russia
It doesn't have the manufacturing capacity and it doesn't have the political will to spend what it must in the little time that it has to protect Ukraine.
For a start, UK could play its part by committing to a vision of Europe, strengthening the hand of allies across the continent.
He only understands one thing
It could help avoid a bigger conflict in a few years
And given Starmerβs dithering and embarrassing attempts to curry favour with Trump, Brexit continues to be a huge success - for Putin.
It would have been better with the UK still in the EU, but a bunch of liars managed to convince the gullible that the EU is somehow a bad thing.
What happens if/when a plan to take Europe down from within succeeds in FRA/GER and potentially even UK in a few years?
They have Twitter now and may have ChatGPT and TikTok etc as micro-targetting propaganda tools.

Europe, Canada and the rest of the world against the US will not be comfortable for them. Just the little matter of UK/EU relationships. Maybe this helps push Starmer
China may end up filling the gap.
