👀 Frankly this is extraordinary. Beltway reporters may choose to dismiss this is a performance art but this is not normal. House/Sen Dems often have tactical differences but they never call out each other so publicly this way.

Tran is smart. I spoke to about 20 candidates during the 2024 campaign and he was the only one who asked me challenging questions about how specifically he should respond on specific issues.

yeah you'd have to dig into the detailed demographics of that district and past voting patterns, look at the population threshold requirements, and a bunch of other stuff to know if that's a rational district or not. california's current process isn't perfect but it's vastly better than previously

It’s actually interesting. Previously, they’d spread Asian voters over several districts to prevent them from having voting power. This was an attempt to allocate this huge population a rep, but it happened that we’re also in the midst of a generational shift.
