I used to tell student organizers that one thing they had going for them was "everybody loves students." It used to be that criticism of student protest was typically good-natured, even friendly.
That's no longer true, and "Free Speech Warriors" telling endless lies is a big reason why.

Too many people uneducated getting to normalize the wrong things on every level. From meaningless to destructive impact.

But they’re totally willing to have those dum-dums expelled or locked up until they learn their lessons.
Student protesters were denounced, arrested and frequently beaten.
That's it. That's the entirety of it.
Giving students the time & grace to develop (and defend!) their own ideologies is a crucial role of educational institutions.
Are they going to argue ridiculous things at times? Sure, but we all did.
