As a former IRS employee, I saw situations where individuals used Social Security numbers of ppl who were deceased or had virtually no work history (e.g., women who did not work outside the home). I was told to disregard the situations bc they paid taxes.

That's a huge red line for IRS -- no one tells IRS whom to investigate.
